Lookin' 4 a florist!

I'm looking for an affordable florist who is modern and trendy yet affordable. Any referrals?

Definitely check out Sadie's floral design! Sadie is a sweetheart and super talented! She has been great when it comes to working with our budget too!

I would recommend Deven Nelson.  She is doing my wedding in July.

She has great ideas and will work within your budget.

I love Jen from Simply Stated Elegance- she was less expensive than other quotes I received and was easy to work with.  Her setup is you buy all the flowers and stuff at wholesaler and then you pay her to put stuff together.  I also got to meet her at the wholesaler to look at everything in person and get to help picking out my actual flowers which sounds fun.  www.simplystatedelegance.com

I'm going to meet with Alissa today from I Do Flowers.  Someone else on here recommended her, but I don't know her prices yet.  I can update when I come back.

    I would recommend Colleen's Flower Cellar    http://colleensflowercellar.com/
I know a number of people who have used her and she can do as much or as little as you want her to and is super reasonably priced.

I'll second Sadie's floral - she is awesome. She did the flowers for our wedding, was super flexible and had the best prices of the 3 florists I priced out. You can see some picks in my bio. She also has those awesome candle/lantern things.

It went great! She had a bunch of books there to look through, but I didn't use any of them, so I speak to what was all in them.  She had her computer there typing up everything we were talking about, which I think was a lot better than someone just scribbling a few notes on a clipboard---she was very organized.  What was great about that as well is that I brought a flash drive with me of pictures that I wanted just in case, so I was able to show her specifically what I was looking for.
She told me how she got started was that she used to work in a floral shop, and saw brides dropping tons of money on flowers, and realized she could do it cheaper, so she started doing it on the side (not sure what her day job is).  She does it out of her house, so I met her there.

She didn't really give me a quote, per se, which is what I'm waiting on before I actually decide to go with her, but with the flowers I chose, and how many I need, she said she would try to keep it between $500 and $700.  I'm getting 5 BM bouquets plus mine, 11 bouts and 3 corsages.  She also includes vases to put them on the head table if you want, which you get to keep, and she will include a toss bouquet for free if you want.  She told me that if I didn't want that, she would work out something where the bouts or something else were free. She also delivers everything the day of with her husband.

I can't think of anything else right now, but if you have any other questions let me know! I will probably book with her, I'm just waiting to hear the final quote.

Thanks you sooo much for the feedback on idoflowers. I am going to check a few this weekend :) It's nice to know there are people who can do flowers affordably!

What are you doing for centerpieces?
