Actually, upon thinking about it, it wasn't KFC. After prom junior year we went to Wendy's for spicy chicken sandwhiches. After senoir prom we went to a friends farm where his parents had made tons of food. For living in NC, it is shockingly hard to find a wafflehouse near where I went to high school.

Vegas, one of the menu upgrades at our venue is doing Shrimp and Grits as the entree. Ahh, the south.

Prior to this past weekend I would have said that sounds absolutely disgusting; I was at a local bar that had that and one of my friends got it so I tried it; pretty damn good lol.  Probably about 2000 calories though with all the butter; I hit the tread mill the next morning.

<div>Because it was served in the buckets, buffet style.</div>
  • Shrimp and Grits is amazing, if you get it from a nice resturant. It's pretty popular around here for weddings, sunday brunch, etc. It's also ridiculously expensive most places, considering that the base is grits!
  • Agreed.  I have an emerald as a result.
  • I love my sapphire.  Although, I have had some very nasty comments about it.  When that happens, I like to rip people apart with my amazing "blood diamond" argument. I only reserve it for those douchebags, though.

Otherwise, I don't really care enough about what people's stones are, KWIM? Rings are beautiful, no matter what they're made out of.  To me they represent more of a symbol than a price tag (I'm sure it's the same for all of you as well).

  • I'm rockin' an emerald e-ring accented by diamonds.  I wouldn't trade it for the world. It's my birthstone and my favorite color.(My bmaids dresses are shamrock) I think diamonds are beautiful, but I didn' t have my heart set on one.  Its totally a marketing scheme and from what I've learned in talking to a local vendor of Irish goods, only an America thing.  Europeans are bigger on gem stone e-rings than diamonds.
