Snarky Brides

This killed me

I don't know if anyone watched The L Word on Showtime. But there was a spinoff called The Real L Word which was a reality show of lesbians living in LA. On the second season there was this adorable couple Cori and Kacy who were married and wanted to have a baby. After the season ended they started a blog to keep their fans up to date on their progress towards starting a family. I read it as it kind of let me know what to expect when the day comes for me and J. They got pregnant last year but haven't posted a long time and they just posted the reason why is that they lost the baby. What the non-birth mom wrote is so sad yet sweet, you may want a tissue handy if you're going to read it. Sad as it is, how much love she has for her wife is amazing and inspiring.

  • Incompetent cervixes are more common than people think.  Its sad that they have not found a way to diagnose them before pregnancy.

DX: PCOS/Recurrent losses/MTHFR mutation (compound hetero)
    5 hysteroscopies/2 surgical
    3 Inject IUIs = 2 m/c's and 1 BFN
IVF #1= BFP. m/c at 7w6d. Needed 2 D&C's and scar tissue removal. Mild OHSS
IVF #2 = BFP. Severe OHSS. 4 Drainings. TWINS!
  • That is heartbreaking. Knowing what I went through with pre-term labor and a perfectly viable baby, I can't imagine having to go through all that earlier on in the pregnancy, and not getting a take home baby. SO sad.

I had never even heard about it before, to think everything could be going along fine and then in just a matter of 48 hours it's gone.. I can't even comprehend what having to go through that delivery must have been like for her.

There is so much about miscarriages that they cannot explain.  And most of the time you dont even know you have an issue until it happens, and/or keeps happening.

Even then, most of the time there is no explanation given.

That scares me the most about TCC, we're still probably a year or so away. But after all that time, and honestly money, trying time after time and then it finally works and then it just is taken away and sometimes for no reason at all.

Life play some pretty mean jokes, there's people that would do anything to be able to have a baby and try and try to no avail and then total asshole who probably shouldn't be parents who keep popping out kids that CPS has to take away, just not right.
