This post is half vent, half genuine inquiry!
I should start out by saying that I'm pretty obsessed with sweets, so the wedding cake is very important to me. My goal is to meet with two cake bakers, so I can compare/contrast and make sure I'm getting the best product for my money, because the cake HAS to be good 
I've been choosing bakers to contact based on price (I have a decent budget for cake, but not huge - the bakers who start at $4.50 per slice before adding any decorations, fondant, etc. are going to be too expensive for me!), word-of-mouth from my other vendors, and how their cakes look on their websites.
But I'm having a horrible time getting cake bakers to call/e-mail me back. I've contacted five so far. One responded right away, but was too expensive. One responded a week later, and I was able to set up a cake consultation with her. The other three will simply not call/e-mail me back! Is anyone else having this problem with bakers, or with vendors in general? Any advice or recommendations?
I just want one more consultation, but my list of preferred bakers has been exhausted. (I don't want to name names, in terms of who isn't calling me back!) I have considered most of the bakers who have been mentioned on this board in the past, but thought I'd reach out to see if there are any other recommendations. Thanks!! And sorry if I seem obsessive - cake is to me what the dress is to a lot of girls, haha.
