FI see the dress before the wedding?

My FI is not seeing the dress before the wedding. Not because we are superstitious because we feel like it will be more special. What did you do/are you doing?

We had pictures before the wedding, and it was fun. Also, I'd shown him a photo of it previously as well. Funnily enough, he hated it. bahaha

FI's seen pictures of me in it. He doesn't really remember anything other than that it's white, but he wanted to see and we're terrible at keeping things from each other.

We're also doing pictures before the ceremony so he'll see it in person then.

I was tempted to have FI see it before buying because I do want him to like it. But I decided not to because I feel like it would take away from "the moment."

He saw pictures of the two I considered buying and has seen pictures of the one I bought. We will do pictures before the wedding as well. It isn't that big of a deal for me. Our wedding is going to be pretty laid back.

We are going to have a "first look." Our reception is immediately following the ceremony, so really the ohly time to take pictures is before the ceremony.

The first dress I almost bought I was OK with letting him see it before hand. I think I knew I had found "the one" when I realized I didn't want him to see it after all.

But I'm super superstitious, so take that with a grain of salt.

FI has seen the dress, but hasn't seen me in the dress. We're doing photos before the ceremony so he'll see it then. The "surprise" of first seeing the dress isn't important to us.

We are also taking photos before the ceremony and "first look" - the dress is hanging up iin my closet. I think he knows it's there. He could totally gawk at it if he wanted to. I don't know how interested he is in looking at it though. Of course, I could be totally wrong about this.

We're pretty traditional so I did not want him to see it before the wedding day. We did a reveal so he saw it before the actual ceremony.

H didn't want to know what it looked like. In fact, he didn't want to have any idea of what it might potentially look like. I didn't care either way.

Andy saw it when I went in and tried it on again/ had my first fitting in December. We're not superstitious and I just wanted to make sure he would like it because I'm neuortic like that.

DH saw a pic of the dress online when I was looking at dresses but he didn't know that was the one I bought until our first look. He also didn't know it was a short dress (and therefore, why the eff I was so stressed out about shoes!).

He's seem a picture of the dress, but not me in the dress. We'll also be taking formal pictures before the ceremony.

He was with me when we picked it out. He knows me better than anyone else and I really wanted him there with me. I had taken other people and they were not helpful in the slightest. Everyone just kept saying how beautiful I looked in every. single. dress. He pointed out that this one made my hips look huge or that one bunches up funny when I walk. That's the type of thing I wanted help with. I didnt' care if he liked the style, I just needed someone to be honest with me if it looked good on my body.

He had seen the designer's picture after I ordered it, and the other day he was looking at some text messages on my phone and he saw the picture I had in there of me wearing the sample! I don't really care though

FI doesn't want to see the dress until our wedding day.

I don't mind, either way. We will be taking some pictures before the ceremony so we'll do a "first look" type thing then. I think he is a little more traditional than me, which is funny for a punk.

He saw it and then saw me in it. I honestly don't think he could have described it to anyone other than "it's white and poufy" after seeing it. He doesn't remember stuff like that.

I think the whole picture (hair, makeup, veil, excitement of the day) is more special than just the dress.

My FI has seen the dress, he helped me get it out of the car when I picked it up from the dress store.

However, at his insistence, he has not seen me in the dress. Though I torment him by threatening to show him pictures of my first fitting.

My FI has not seen my dress, I tell him it has a turtleneck, long sleeves,and is itchy wool. Only because he teases me all the time about sneaking a peek while I'm not home. But he really doesn't care to see it until the ceremony. Just want to see the look on his face with the first look. Not superstitious at all.

That's what we're doing. I hate when cocktail hours run over, so this way it offers us a bit more flexibility... and we wouldn't drive our guests crazy.

We are doing the reveal though - just me and him... and our photographer.

At first FI didn't seem to care either way and just as I was getting used to the idea of him seeing me before the ceremony he seemed to want to see me as I walk down the aisle. I'd prefer it that way but I won't stress if we change that.

Mr. Penny refused to see the dress or hear any details about the dress beforehand. He also refused to take pictures first because he wanted to see me for the first time walking down the aisle.

I like that he was surprised before the day of, but I would have been fine taking pics before the ceremony too. It turned out well though.

I don't think of it as being bad luck. I'd just rather see him surprised. I've shown him pictures of what I was looking at but not the dress I have my eye on.

I took FI with me to David's Bridal so I could try on different styles of dresses and he could offer input on what he liked/didn't like on me. He hasn't seen my dress though, and won't until I walk down the aisle.

I picked a really "revealing" dress....and I was so nervous about how
he would react...I figured he'd either love it or hate it....Soooo, I ended up
showing him two pictures from the designer websites..One was the
"sexy" one, the other, my runner up choice in case he wasn't liking
that first one....
Ends up he LOVED the first one as much as I did....!!!
He won't see me in it until I do the walk....in 68 days!!

I showed mine the picture online. He won't remember exactly what it looks like anyway, and when I bought it I couldn't tell anybody else yet because we had secretly bought our rings but weren't technically engaged yet.

But he wont see it again til I'm walking down the aisle, we're doing separate photos before the wedding ceremony and the whole party after.

When I picked out my dress last August, my FI said that under NO conditions did he want to see the dress, have it in our house, or even get a hint of what it looked it like. He wants to have the big moment when I walk down the aisle. I'm ok with that but I'm pretty sure I may be bawling as I walk down the aisle.

I told him it's pink with green polka dots and makes me look like a cupcake.
