The part about your mother and MIL's attire is not a big deal, but as for the rest:

OH MY GOSH YES.

My H was insistent that he would wear GREEN VELVET SUITS to our wedding. Because, you know, our colours were green and it would go perfectly! When he couldn't find that, he was seriously talking about renting space suits (as in, NASA)... There were some highly WTF?! moments in wedding planning.

To be fair, though, his suggestion of having the ceremony in a 'secret location' seemed ridiculous at the time, but I let him do so and it ended up being loved by the guests (they were shuttled between venues so they didn't need to know where they were going, really). He did have some crazily out-there ideas, though.

   Hahahahahha you "women" are pathetic. All you do all day is sit around on these boards and trash people you don't know! I wonder how it is to have no class...perhaps someone could enlighten me.
   And to the few of the REAL WOMEN on here, thank you for your constructive critisicm and help.
   To the rest...I feel bad for your future hubbies.

   Thank you for taking my fake post seriously. It was for a paper I needed to write for school. It was about bullying on the internet. My point was to prove that not only children do it but adults do it to. I havent posted on here all day because I was working on my essay.My original post was all fake except the part about the flasks and my brother.
   I needed to find a blog or message board and find a thread or post or comment to start encouraging people to bully.
   I thought because I was already a member of The Knot I should do it here. I have watched the 'snarky bride' board for quite sometime to get a feel of how you "women" are.
   I emailed the papaer to my professor and he was in shock at how adult woman behave.I will be receiving my grade on Wednesday and will be posting my essay for all to see after I receive it back.
   Thank you to the 95% of you bitches. You made me write an excellent paper. And made my professor and FI pretty much realize how cruel and pathetic the internet world really is.

If that really is true that it was for a paper, that's fcuked up. I'm sure people do not appreciate sharing their views and personal feelings and experiences with a liar who is purposely stirring the pot in order to prove some "point." That is not exactly scientific research honey. I doubt very much a professor would encourage this "research," and if they do, then I would be wary about getting a degree from an institution such as that. Is it for an accredited university course?

And I saw you posting on other threads earlier this morning.

I find it funny how now that shes "writing a paper", she has gone to the grouble of creating what appears to be paragraphs, indented and everything... but done a horrible job of it. Even when youre trying to properly format your sentences and paragraphs you still suck!!

I just want to see how far she goes. I've never seen anyone go so far as to actually write fake paper just to prove a point and seek validation. This could be highly entertaining.

And if you are telling the truth, OP, you have a very distorted version of bullying. Furthermore, any professor who actually seriously accepts "research" papers based on an Internet forum and an original post of exaggerated lies is not a good professor (then again, it's alredy been pointed out that your sleeping with him so big surprise there). That's like writing a paper using Wikipedia and calling it research.

ETA--it really pisses me off to hear butthurt newbs whining about how people here are bullies. Clearly, you haven't actually done your research on SB because if you had, you'd know that the girls on here are compassionate, friendly, and caring. People post about medical issues, deaths in the family, personal struggles, breaking off engagements, and nothing but compassion is shown. Even posters who don't like me have shown kindness when I needed it. Not agreeing with you is not bullying, so get off your "poor me" high horse.

My guy started off with looooots of ideas and suggestions. I tried to say no as little as possible (kinda like with a 2 yr old). That way when it's something that is a DEFINITE NO you are able to use your "veto cards" wisely! Really when it came dowqn to actually booking, making deposits and purchasing he would back out and say "it's upto you honey!" YES! who doesn't like to hear that? best of luck to you!
