Small Bouquet budget - order flowers online?

Hello ladies,
So I have a tiney tiny budget for our bouquets. We're going with red roses (for me) and white roses (for the bridal party). My sister in law's sister said she has done bouquets before and would be happy to put it together for me.

I found a site online where we can order them and have them delivered a few days before the wedding.

My questions are:
1. Has anyone ordered flowers online and if so, how'd it turn out?

2. My alternative is to go to the grocery store or a Sam's club or BJ's to have them put together the flowers. Thoughts?

TIA!

I know this doesn't answer your questions but have you thought about using "real touch" fake flowers? I know a lot of ladies on this board are using "real touch" flowers. I used them for all my flowers and they look and feel real. I got them from Hobby Lobby while they were 50% off. Just something to think about Smile

I've never ordered online, but was about to order from Costco until I found my florist.

I would ask the person who is offering to put the flowers together if she has any pictures to show you. If you know she's reliable, knows what she's doing, and she has the time, I say go for it.

I have ordered flowers online as far as arrangements and the flowers are always nice. They come a little  tight but after a few days they loosen up so that is a good thing that they will come a few days before. Do some price comparing and then go from there. Sorry I am not any real help.

OK. Thanks ladies. Perhaps I'll order a test batch first to see what my sister in law's sister can put together. I asked her for pictures and she said she doesn't have any.

grocery store flowers are not that bad...I use them for our engagement party and other events that I want to have...I know ralphs/krogers/king soopers sell a dozen of roses for $10.  I wouldn't get the grocery store to put them together but you can buy flowers from there and save yourself the shipping cost of online.

I plan on getting all of my flowers from a grocery store and making my own bouquets and floral arrangements.

i did sam's for our wedding.  we put the actual bouquets together.  it saved me some money instead of using a florist. since you say FSIL's sister would do them, get with her and check out sam's.
