Did you have to bring your Soc. Security CARD to get your marriage license?

We get to go apply for our marriage license next week (yay!) and I see that we need to provide SSNs - did you have to show your actual card or just give the number? For the record, we're applying in Oakland County. I have NO idea where my SS card it, but I do know my #.

just an FYI- you can request a new ssn online, i am pretty sure it also lets you print off a official paper that can be used until your card comes in the mail. That is what we did for my daughter to get her drivers liscense and it worked with no problem.

I'm canadian so I don't have a SSN. It wasn't a problem in Oakland County.

I'm from Wayne county and they wanted our birth certificates and id.

Just my id and I had to give the SS numbers.

I would think that a birth certificate would suffice, but FI will have to bring his divorce decree.

We just got ours last week and all we needed was our birth certificates and id's. We did need to know our ss's but didn't have to show the card. We both have been married once before also and neither of us had to show any divorce papers either.
