Invitation Timing... I know this has been asked like 750 million times...

Ok. Our wedding is July 31 and our rsvp date is July 9. Is mid to late may too late to send the invites? I just don't have time before at LEAST May 23rd to stuff the invites because of my exams... Is that too late? Is 6 weeks enough?

edit:: we sent save the dates about two months ago so everyone has prelim notice

    I just sent mine out last week and my wedding is June 26th.  Most people got them last Friday and I've already gotten 8 response cards back.   I think you should be okay with 6 weeks. 


    if anything, it's less time that they have to loose the response cards.  :)

    I think 6 weeks is fine....6- 8 weeks is standard - 8 weeks is mostly recommended if you have a lot of OOT guests and if you didn't sent STDs...I wouldn't stress over this - focus on acing your exams girlie :)

    thanks ladies. This is anxiety I shouldn't be having when I have 5 exams ahead of me still!

    That should be fine.  I sent ours out Monday and our wedding is June 12th--so about 6.5 weeks.  I also had sent a STD.

    I think this sounds perfect - we are planning on sending ours early to mid June for a late August Wedding.

    I think thats fine, my date is the same as yours and thats about when ours will go out.  I almost blew it by forgetting until today to send the envelopes to the calligrapher---I just totally spaced that May was so soon!

    I absolutely don't think that's too late to send them out.  I think the absolute latest you should send them out is mid-June because that's 6 weeks out.  Anytime in May is perfect.
