I can't stop thinking of Irene...

...this is NO fun.

I just went to the grocery store to stock up on some things...no water left there, luckily CVS had a case and FI picked some up this AM.

I hate that we're leaving our condo tomorrow through Monday to go to a wedding in Massachusetts.  It kind of turns my stomach...  :(  I'm REALLY nervous about flooding inside - and its not like we live near somewhere that willl flood us, but our living room walks straight out to the backyard - via a WALL of door-sized windows and a slider.  I just fear the water in the backyard rising and coming right in...and hurricane strength winds against the wall of glass.

Fingers crossed and lots of prayers!

Good luck everyone!!!

Hang in there!  If you're really worried about the glass, you can nail wooden boards over it from the inside to help support it.  Be sure to tape it.  And if you're worried about water levels rising, you could go to Home Depot and pick up some sand bags.  They're super cheap.

Also, give a key to a neighbor you trust so they can check up on it while you're gone!

I'm sure it'll all be okay, but it doesn't hurt to be prepared.
