Wedding Gift

I am so excited about the gift I am going to purchase for my fiance! He is a huge Eagles fan and the Sunday after our wedding, which is September 1st, the Eagles will be in Cleveland!!! I love surprises and I know if I told him I were getting the tickets before the wedding he would talk me out of it. I think I'll give it to his best man the day before the wedding to give it to him the day of as a surprise (that should change his mind if he was thinking of running the opposite way!). My only fear is that I hear that Cleveland fans are really intense and they don't take kindly to other teams's fans. I'm not use to that being a Colts fan!

Now a gift for me...I'm pretty sure he has no clue that people get their partner gifts and even if he did he would say "My gift is that we paid for this wedding and all this food (he's that guy). So for now I will find delight in the fact that I am getting him an awesome gift!!!

    Thats really nice! I'm not 100% sure, but I have kinda heard that about Browns fans too. I would google something like "NFL team with worst fans" and see if a list comes up. It sounds stupid but there are teams that are relentless and you do have to take this sort of stuff into account in order to enjoy yourself! Good luck with that!

    Nice!  I can't think of what to get my guy.  I did kind of just buy him his USMC sword, which ain't cheap, so that should count... but it was kinda a graduation present, too.

    I did tell my FI that he had to buy me jewelry.  I just want something simple - earrings, a necklace, etc. - to be able to wear and think, "He gave this to me on our wedding day".  I told him it doesn't have to be expensive, under $100, but that's why I want it, and he understood that.

    I wish I could get a hold of Green Bay Packer tickets for a reasonable price for my FI but they are sold out for the next 150 years lol!

    I was going through everything that we still had to do the other day with FI and brought up gifts...for wedding party, parents and each other.  He had the reaction of, we're getting married what more gift do you need?  Grrrrr.  I told him a lot of grooms give their brides jewelry but I don't think he bought it :(  I'm thinking about giving him some nice cuff links.  @vickel...that is an amazing gift for your FI!  I'm sure he is going to love it!

    I've looked around to see how bad they really are and it is mixed. It seems like we will get yelled at, cursed at, and possible spit and have drinks poured on us. The good thing is Eagle fans appear to dish out as much! My fiance is not really an aggressive guy so I'm not sure how he will react to this type of behavior. I think the pros (it's right after the wedding, nice weather, cheap tickets, and his first NFL game and it happens to be his favorite team) might outweigh the bad. I think I'll ask his best friend for advice and go from there!
