Has anyone decided not to be suprised for their shower? My mom is the main person who is paying/planning although my BMs are involved. I helped my mom pick a theme and the venue etc. I was just wondering if any other brides are doing this?

I havent been offered one yet, but if someone does offer I would prefer not to be surprised about it. I dont like suprises and I have such a hectic work schedule, that I would want to be able to make sure I am actually available to attend my own shower. Plus, I want to dress appropriately.

Surprise showers are not common in my area. It will not be a surprise for me.

I hate surprises. If anyone offers to throw one for me, I would prefer to know when it will be, and be able to provide some input on the guest list. I don't really care about the other details.

My MOH (sister) and mom are throwing me one, i dont want to be involved in the planning but i told her i dont want it to be a surprise.

We are not having a shower at all. We have been buying things for our new home since October of last year and have everything we need already. No point spending money on a shower at that point. We are going to do an open house after we are moved in as opposed to a shower. If people must buy gifts, they can get us gift cards, wine, and other typical house warming gifts.

No clue yet, as no one has offered to throw one. I am assuming my Mom and MOH will do it, but no one has said anything....

My MOH and her mom, whom was like a second mom to me growing, are throwing me a Bridal Shower. I'm not involved in any of the planning and they won't give me any details about it, but they let me pick the date so it didn't interfere with anything we already had planned. I also gave them a guestlist that they requested.

I know when (8/11/12) and where my shower is. My mom and FIs mom are doing most of the planning because most of my BMs are students. I don't know all of the little details though. They had to tell me some details, because I have to go back to our hometown (3hours away) for the shower. Surprise showers really aren't common in my area either.

Well my mom, mother in law, and sister will be throwing my shower. I am very into details so I have been very involved in the planning. Its actually been a good bonding experience for all of us!

I'm not having a surprise shower, I know mine is 8/4 and I choose the restaurant because I really wanted a champagne brunch (I love breakfast).. but the place pretty much supplies everything soo I'm leaving everything out of my hands!
