How is your week going?

I've been busy lately with training new people at work but Friday I took off after an AMAZING Taiko drumming show DH and I saw in Boston.

DH and I are in the process of making stir-fry for dinner. We just discovered the joys of stir-fry a couple weeks ago and we've seriously been making it for dinner every other night, trying different things out, lol.

You TOTALLY deserve it!!

I'm thinking of starting a weekly recipe thread too. It would be great to see what different ideas people have! Plus, this is one of those ones where there's no "wrong" answer unless the recipe contains something like a human toe.

I would like the recipe thread, though I wouldn't be one of the people sharing. Like I said, it is a HUGE deal that I cooked tonight.

The best part about cooking is that I didn't have to do the dishes.

I can actually play for a bit tonight, because I'm waiting for FI to come home. He's still stuck at work, which makes me really sad. And I've already eaten half the Domino's pizza I ordered. I'm still hungry but I'm saving the other half for FI.

I'm thinking of pulling out God of War 3 (we got it on preorder but haven't played it yet, showing shocking restraint), but I should probably do the dishes. We finally divided up the chores and it's FI's turn today, but I want to help out since he's had such a long day.

So I'm kind of grumpy. But the recipe threads sound fun, I'd go for that.

I love the recipe thread! We were doing that for a while on my local and it morphed into a big swap full of recipes. I still have it in a pdf somewhere.

I did not cook tonight. DH got off early, so we walked around the park and ended up going out for Peruvian. I forgot how much I love that stuff. I really need to learn how to cook it.

Well, let's make them easy recipes! This way they won't be daunting tasks.

My favorite recipes are simple ones that taste great on a weeknight. Sure more elaborate ones like lasagna can be yummy - but if it can be ready in 30 minutes then it's super easy.

Man, it's quiet.

Has everyone filed their tax returns? I just did mine (finally found a W-2 I thought I was still waiting on) and I'm getting a pretty decent return. I'm psyched, because it should hit my account shortly before the wedding. Since I'm still not so sure my parents are going to follow through on the cash they promised, this is a huge help.

I just wanted to brag that I bought a friend a gift off his wedding registry for his June wedding....and since I got to it early, I got to pick from all the gifts! So I got them a themed gift. They love wine so I bought them their wine glasses and their carafe....yeah! I plan on bringing a bottle of wine to the reception too...Yeah me! Ok, brag over!
