Children's Meals on Response Cards?

For those of you who will have kids at your reception - Are you putting info about a children's meal on the response cards?  My venue provides whichever one kids' meal that we choose.  We won't have that many children so I don't really want to put it on the cards, but I also don't want parents choosing the regular adult meals for their kids.  (The invitations will be addressed to both the parents and children, so everyone will know their kids are welcome.)  Would it be best to just call those people who will be bringing their children to let them know there will be a special kids' meal?

Re: Children's Meals on Response Cards?

  • I put the children's meal on my cards.  I didn't see any downside to doing so.  Is the problem you have that you are inviting some children and not others?

  • There are only 2 kids under the age of 12 attending our wedding, so I didn't think it was worth it to put a children's meal option on the card. I just emailed my cousin and asked if it was okay for the girls to have kid's meals- it was all good.

  • I put mine on the response cards but most of my cousins have 3 to 6 kids so there will be ablot of children there. I would otherwise make a small note that a childrens meal will be provided for kids under 12 or just make a special notation for the invitations that are going out to families with children.
  • I am putting Children's meal on response card and listing what it is - mac and cheese and chicken strips.  Heck, some adults might order it over the regular meal.  It would be cheaper!
  • we're only having a few kids and they're are nieces and nephews so we won't be putting the option on the card. we're just going to spread word of mouth that there will be a kids meal available.
