I'm working on my RSVPs, and I'm thinking about doing something fun and non-traditional. I think we might get a better response rate if we do something fun.
One idea:
__Will attend with bells on
__will attend, free of bells
__will attend, undecided on bells
__Will not attend, heard there will be people wearing bells
__Will not attend, regardless of bell controversy
I've also seen a Mad Lib type: ____________(exclamation)!We are __________(adjetive) to hear about your upcoming nuptials!______________(Your Name(s)) is/are ___________ (adjetive) to________________ (attend/miss) the celebration.Don't forget to play _________________! (song title)
I've heard some older people don't get the Mad Lib thing, so I could split up and do a more traditional type for the older folks. But I'm not convinced that's really a good idea?I think everyone would get the bells thing, right?I don't know if it's better to have less formal wording on the invitation itself if I do something less formal for the RSVP.Thoughts? Suggestions?

Re: RSVP Poll
The bells thing is cute though. It's personal opinion but I think 5 might be a little overkill.
I don't think your invitation wording necessarily needs to be more informal, it really depends on the aesthetic of your invite.
My invites use more of a formal wording, but don't look super formal, and my rsvps are
- Wouldn't miss it for the world
- Will be there in spirit

__ Will attend with bells on
__ Will attend free of bells (or undecided)
__ Will not attend, heard there will be people wearing bells
Make the will not attend one a bit of a funny too, maybe it won't sting as bad if some people say no.
Eh - whatever you do I'd only have two options. People might get confused, esp the old folks who can't see straight. It would be pretty terrible to accidentally RSVP incorrectly to someone's wedding because you didn't 'get it'.
super cute!! i think shortening it from 5 to 3 is easier to read, therefore funnier!
I had friends who had their wedding on a farm so their response options were based around a farm theme such as:
__ unable to attend, need to plow the field
__ unable to attend, need to milk the cows
Something to that effect. It makes it more interesting.

____ Yes. You can bet your bottom dollar, we’re attending!
____ No. But if you send us your bottom dollar, we’ll attend.
____ Just kidding about above statement. We still won’t be attending.
____ We don’t bet. And, we still can’t attend.
-------
__ Gladly attend
__ Regretfully decline__ Gladly decline
__ Think you're just trying to get a gift out of me, but I'm coming anyway.
-----
__ Yes, we'll be there!
__ Still in shock from that flying pig we just saw, so we can't come.
- Can attend with regret
- Can't attend with joy
(though I personally don't love this)

At the top it says, "the favour of a creative response is requested before the fifth of August"

__Will forget to RSVP and show up anyway.
__Being forced into attending. Please put me at a good table.
__Can’t make it. Sorry to miss the festivities.
__Don’t want to attend.
