2011 ACC Football Schedule

They just released the 2011 football schedule for the ACC. It is always important to know what is happing during your wedding weekend!

    Omg this just ruined my day! I'm getting married at the Carolina Inn and since my wedding is on a football weekend I can't reserve as many room as I need and my guest have to pay more money for their hotel.

    My FI was totally against us having a fall wedding because of football season :p  Hence, we are having a spring wedding.  But it's totally important information!

    we too couldn't get married during football season!  my fi is one HUGE nc state wolfpack fan!!!

    Another reason we opted for May!  Love football, but it's a nightmare to schedule around.

    Well I was trying to schedule my wedding around FI's busy season schedule. We originally wanted May but too many things are going to be going on..not good timing. I hate hot weather so I wanted to do it as late as possible w/o going into he cold fall season. That's what I get for getting married at an a venue associated with an ACC school. I would have gotten married near my Alma Mater (ECU) if they had good venues.

    Ahhh! Thrive off of college football.  We are both Gators and having an orange and blue wedding, so we are getting married on homecoming... We have arranged for a TV to be setup for guests and a private one in our bridal changing suite.  YAY!  Go Gators!

    We got married last fall. I used information on the UNC and NC State football schedules as a guide for picking potential wedding dates. I knew I couldn't get married in Chapel Hill during a home UNC game.  Hotels and traffic would have been a nightmare. We went with the open date on the schedule (Sept 11) because it worked out double perfect b/c NC State had an away game. Dook might have had a home game...but they don't really count. Their tiny amount of fans don't cause any traffic issues.

    199 until NC State football/tailgating season! I'm so excited because we're getting season tickets with one of our favorite couples! :)

    That's the reason why we scheduled our wedding for December 10th. Regular season will be over and the ACC tourney is the weekend before and Bowl games won't have started yet!

    My FI & I both have decided we do not want our wedding during football season...so it's either before (August) or after :)  I'm leaning towards August, but I'm worried it's going to be too hot

    FI and I both have 2 degrees from Wake Forest. I don't think we'd have had a wedding during FB season even in their worst season! That is definitely the tricky thing about autumn! My grandparents are trying to plan an anniversary party in November and are making sure its an away game or on a Sunday.
