  I think that would make a nice pre=ceremony letter but way too long and wordy for vows. think about it, do you want to stand there with your face down looking at words on paper as you read out loud or gaze into the loving eyes of your husband to be? If the later is what you prefer, then try to make an outline of key points you would like to bring up in your vows. That why you could speak freely while looking into his eyes, rather than staring down at a sheet of paper for 2 plus minutes.

  I don't really understand your response.  I guess I'm confused because these are vows...right?  I am vowing/promising things to him.  What all do you consider too wordy?

  I think the bolded part is absolutely perfect.  Those are beautiful promises to make and are true and actual vows. Love them.
  
  With regard to PP's comment about the wordy-ness, I get it.  I think if you took out the non-bolded part and incorporated the love story into a pre-ceremony letter it would be more appropriate. Just thinking about how much you have to memorize already, and the pressure I'm sure you have on yourself to say it perfectly the way you want FI to hear it, having it too long might work against you.
