Is it already 8pm?

Where has the evening gone. H is still at work. I haven't eaten dinner, but don't know what I want. We don't have much in the house....decisions, decisions.

Re: Is it already 8pm?

  • I had a salad for dinner and I'm still hungry.
  • I'll probably have leftover barbeque chicken and spaghetti squash. I just have to get up and reheat it.

  • Nope.. It's only 7  Laughing

I'm trying to figure out what I want.  DH has been sick for the last few days so I've been on my own.  Nothing here is appealing.  Maybe I will order sushi?

What differentiates an average host and a great host is anticipating unexpressed needs and wants of their guests.  Just because the want/need is not expressed, doesn't mean it wouldn't be appreciated.
  • Can you get sushi delivered Lynda? If so, I would totally do it.

  • I had a cheeseburger and fries. I need to start meal planning again so that I have healthy options for dinner. I'm also sort of blah lately so I am stuffing my face with crap.

<div>YES !!!  Things I love about living in the city. Not only that they are literally right across the street.  A one lane street at that.</div>

  • Man that means it's lunchtime for you Regally.

    Do it Lynda!

  • I feel like it's later than 8.  I'm all out of whack.

I made some pasta with chicken and a light rose sauce for dinner.  I bought some fancy looking ice cream at the grocery store today and will be enjoying some of that later.

So for Lent I gave up pop, alcohol, and lethargy (I will do at least 30 minutes of physical activity everyday).  It's only the second day and I seriously feel a difference.  I was drinking so much pop throughout the day and not nearly enough water.  Then I would drink wine or something at night, and dehydrate more.

  • Good for you DNB! Those are good things to give up.
    image
  • Hi! I'm debated between baked chicken w/ cheesy mashed cauliflower or goat cheese, fruit, and wine. Hmmmm
  • My vote is for goat cheese, fruit, and wine Jill. But that's because that involves no cooking.
    image
  • Bah. It's only 5 here and I still have to meal plan AND go food shopping. I am so tired.

DNB, I couldn't give up pop and lethargy at the same time.
  • Good for you DNB. I don't always participate with lent but I really like the idea of adding something like the physical activity.

  • That's what I was thinking MK. H won't be home until 8:30 anyway, so sounds quick and easy.
  • When in doubt, go with wine!

  • Thanks ladies.  I have given up pop several times in the past, but this year I've gotten really hooked on it.  I started drinking it again like crazy with the move since my coffee maker was packed, and then it was easier on the drive.  I also promised to go to church every Sunday during Lent, and went yesterday too.

I forced myself to get on the scale yesterday morning, and do measurements.  This is also my kick start to losing weight and getting healthier, so I figured I would track my progress.  At this point though I'm not changing my eating habits at all, that will come though.

  • I need to go back and read big threads, I miss out with all of the good stuff not being near a computer all day. I just finished the Impotence thread...wow.
  • Only 6 here! Going out with FI and another couple for some coffe in a few minutes. Will be nice to forgo school work for the evening.

  • I think so Holly. Then again, I ate fast food tonight too. No judgment here.

  • Jill I never go back and read them either.  Then I'm lost half the time.  I guess I could just read.  I think I just remembered why I stopped posting on WR threads too.

  • Lynda, what did ya get?

Holly, probably the same ones that made me angry. Poor OP.

  • Ugh. I'm supposed to go for my wife chop next weekend and have NO idea what I want to do with my hair. I could seriously shave it all off at this point.
  • I had a problem with the Engagement Party thread where someone came back in after the thread had moved to OPs real issues. They tell OP to suck it up and invite the person. Don't you realize there are pages of posts? Read the damn thing before commenting.

<div>So then what happened in the thread?  I only read half the first page just now and quit because I figured I could tell where it was going.  </div>
