Does anyone have any good ideas on songs to play during our ceramony while we walk down the isle? I'm so bad at this kind of thing and have no idea what to play!

    Hi there-
The most traditional songs are; here comes the bride, the wedding march, and cannon in d.

I really hate the wedding march regular version, but I am having my sister play it on her guitar as a walk down. It sounds awesome.

If you go to amazon.com and search wedding processionals under MP3s a lot of choices will pop up that you can listen to. Hope that helps:)

Are you getting married in a church? Some churches do not allow you to play alternatives to the traditional, so you should check into that first.

For our ceremony, the bridal party is walking into a Hawaiian slack key guitar song by Keola Beamer called Na Hala o Naue. I'm walking into Israel Kamakawiwo'ole's "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" -- that Hawaiian version at the end of 50 First Dates.

I used Canon in D.  It's traditional, but for me it was meaningful.  I grew up dancing, and that was one of my favorite ballet recital songs, and I always wanted to use it.

Is there a song that is special to you - if you have the freedom to choose one?
Look through the list that fickrj5 posted.  That should be a great starting point to see if any of those songs stick out to you.

I'm walking down to "You Belong To Me" the Jason Wade version.  I think we are doing instrumental of that song for the wedding party and my musicians are singing for when I walk down.  Our recessional is "Over the Hills and Far Away" by Led Zeppelin:)  a little something for my pre-hub:)
