Re: Anyone around?

  • Cs- no you don't. We celebrate Quincys b-day every year:)
well, wait, if you do then I guess I'm a crazy dog lady
  • Hmm sounds like Scottsdale Fashion Square, which I love to hit up. Did they already open the H&M there?!

  • Ha! I have successfully convinced my husband that we are going clothes shopping Wed. for a wedding we are going to Saturday. Really we are going out to buy him a new grill ;)

I know I'm a crazy cat lady :) Demon and Katie were both born in June though, so that makes their birthdays easier. I can't believe that Demon is 6 already! I've had her since she was 5 weeks old and there's no way it's been that long. That means I'm like...26 or something...Undecided

Yeah, I love when people have young dogs and are like "Omg they are so destructive" Well, how often do you take them out? "They go out to pee twice a day" No, how often do you take them out on walks? "Oh never, just out to pee and back in". Hmm I wonder why they are being destructive...

I cannot stop eating these jalapeno chips...make me stop...please...
  • chips sound delish.  our kitchen is empty.  we grilled tonight and all we have are leftovers.  I want a snack and had to eat and apple.  I didn't really want an apple.

  • Katie - do you work with animals?  I did vet teching before I switched to humans.  I'm an advocate of crate training for dogs.  My xH and I crate trained our dogs and it was relief to be able to go out for a while and not worry about mass destruction of the house.  After they were about two years old we did away with the crates.

Champagne - you're lucky yours grooms so well.  Bowin looks like a vagabond; but he's getting old now so grooming is not high on his priority list.
  • Marrin - I worked at PetSmart for 3 years, in charge of the pet care dept. I was also the only employee who learned anything outside of work so I got to answer all the customer's questions. I also hid in the vet's office a lot to avoid stupid customers so I learned a lot in there too.

I've been pretty good about eating today, but the chips got me. I finally handed the bag to Scott and he put it way across the room. Now I'm eying the chocolate toblerone on the couch next to me....Damn you empty calories at 11:17pm!!
  • I don't even know how I can eat.  I ate so much on vacation.  Towards the end I would look at food and just want to barf.  I didn't eat a lot yesterday so I feel super hungry today.  I wanted chips or something but we had nothing and it sucked.  Then the more I thought about it, I probably don't need chips anyway.

  • I ddin't really eat that much today, but we had absolutely to die for spinach dip tonight.  And then I ate penne in vodka sauce with chicken.  So stuffed, but it was worth it :).

I'm afraid of how much we will eat (and drink) on vacation.  I want to totally relax and enjoy myself and that usually leads to bad choices.
  • Chips are evil...evil and addictive.

We're going to a really great Asian fusion restaurant tomorrow too. I'm going to try to wake up early so I can get in a good work-out, because this is ridiculous. I put on a pound of muscle and I know it's muscle, but that is not helping me meet my goal!
  • Umm yeah, I felt like every lunch and dinner was a full on meal.  It was delicious but I know I gained weight.  I can feel it in my jeans.  I feel sort of grossed out now.

  • At least you can feel it! I pigged out on the honeymoon and afterwards and didn't feel it. Then I got on the scale "out of curiosity" and I had gained 20 pounds :(

Did you do an all-inclusive place?  That;s what happened to my friend, especially with the drinks.
  • Yeah, I suppose that's a good thing.  It sucks though sitting here feeling like Jabba the Hutt.

I have spinning tomorrow so maybe I'll feel good after that.

Even worse, Disney! And I had super dieted the 5 months leading up to the wedding so I was done with healthy choices. Then I started working at a desk job, at a high school, 2 doors down from the Gourmet Cooking class who always gives their food away to the nearby staff/teachers and who can say no to homemade cheesecake, brownies, cookies and pizza?
  • Ugh, just got home from being out drinking all day, party time lol.

  • Wooo partying!

...That's all I got.  I have officially have run out of things to say.  Unless you want to hear my relentless whining about feeling fat, but I hate when people whine about that so I try not to.

  • T is irritating me. He's havign huge buyers remorse over the camera and its driving me nuts. Theres nothing we can do about it now. He thinks its no better than a point and shoot camera. He's weird.
  • Nick always has buyer's remorse.

It drives me nuts.  He's so frugal and so when he does spend he freaks out.  I thought he was going to have a heart attack after buying the house.

  • Aw Roxy, that just means you need to play around with it more to prove how super awesome it is!

Oh here's a fun one (and a warning that I may be biitching about my husband a lot soon). Scott is going to quit drinking caffeine. Right now he probably averages 7 -10 cans of Mountain Dew per day. He cannot function on caffeine but knows that the caffeine and smoking are not helping us ttc any. Today was day 1 without any caffeine and he seems to be surprisingly normal, but we'll see what day 2 brings.
  • Oh my, I can't imagine T buying a house. Seriously, it would be awful.
Since yesterday all I've heard is "The cameras nice right? or old camera wouldnt have done that.." "I could have bought all kinds of stuff with that money"  "I couldve bought you a new laptop" " I couldve got a whole cart of stuff" "Its not that much better than a regular camera"
    I'm just like SHUT UP.
He does the same things about his looks...sigh.
  • OMG 7 to 10 cans?!

When I hear about people who consume that much soda it boggles my mind.  I can barely drink 1 can of soda, let alone that much.

I've cut back a lot on caffeine, but I probably still drink too much. I just like coffee, I don't think the caffeine even affects me anymore.

  • Holy hell thats a lot of soda! Soda is my biggest vice (problem? w/e its called..) but I limit it to 1 (if any) a day. Although today I've had 2 heh.
  • Nick does that with his hair. He's like "how does it look?"  He has buzzed hair, it always looks the same.  He also uses more product than me which blows my mind.
    Photobucket
  • Cs- Yes! We will probably get another point and shoot for the times we dont want the big camera but I was debating starting a "why slr's are better" thread buuut I decided not to. I'm going to find some article though to convince him.

Shelly- yes! The hair, ugh. He did his hair last night and asked me at least 15 times how it looked (perfect, same as usual). He obsesses over his teeth too asking multiple times if they're white, and straight and nice. He's got some real self confidence issues. :(
  • I have impulse buyers remorse; I like to buy things and then regret wasting the money after the fact lol.

Married in Vegas - June 2011

  • Yeah, the sad thing is I used to drink that much too. It's the retail manager routine
Wake up at 2am, have a coke to get you to work, have another one at work
have about 5 more throughout the day to stay awake (because you've been awake since 2am and work 14 hour shifts)
have another one to stay awake long enough to have dinner.

I'm really bad with spending money too. The house wasn't bad, because we paid so much in rent that in my mind I'm just paying a different person, but getting stuff for the house was bad. We spent $400 the first week at Target getting stuff for the bathrooms, toilet paper, paper towels, kitchen supplies, cleaning supplies, etc and I practically started hyperventilating at the check out counter. I thought I was going to die when we spent $60 on our new comforter.
  • I got Nick a DSLR for Christmas and he loves it.  I like it too but I'm not good with technology.

I'm surprised I could figure out facebook and a blog.
    Photobucket
  • I get buyers remorse as well but nowhere near as bad as T does.
  • I will say I do not get buyer's remorse.  However, I do change my mind a lot.  Case in point: Whenever I come home from shopping Nick doesn't worry because a week later I'll change my mind and return it.

You'd think working retail in the past I'd know better, but I don't.
