I have a Confession (kinda long)

The quick background for the new ladies...FI & I are both divorced and after we started dating and moved in together, our exs started dating each other and moved in together. We go engaged, they got engaged. We originally planned a July wedding, they are now supposed to be getting married next Saturday...

Anyway...yesterday my friend called me to tell me about a convo she had with her daughters father who is friends with my XH and is going to the wedding. He was talking about the wedding and how it was stupid, he didn't want to go, and he doesn't understand why they are getting married because....my XH showed up to another friend's house the other day hysterically crying about how he missed me and still loved me. It apparently took a long while to calm him down and the only thing anyone said is it will be ok.

So here is my confession, when she told me thins, I could not stop laughing, almost to the point of tears. I just can't get over my laughter. The only thing I could say is WHY IS HE GETTING MARRIED IN A WEEK?!?!

So if you got through this you deserve to leave work early and have a drink. Thanks for letting me share.

Well...I bet that was an awkward evening for your friend that had to hear your ex sobbing. Sounds like they were just trying to get you two jealous to break you up. It also sounds like that marriage isn't going to last long. Kardashian wedding anyone? Oh man. What an awkward situation all around. Just ignore all the drama and try to stay in your own little world away from them. They don't sound healthy at all.

Wow, what an awkward evening.... he definintely shouldn't be marrying someone else if he's still that hung up on you! I agree with Nikki, ignore all the drama and enjoy planning your wedding

That is super awkward! He should just break it off, then! I'd be pissed if I were your XH fiance and found out that he still loves his XW...hmm..

I stay out of everything. I just think that it is hilarious that he is putting himself in this situation. FI & I are betting on whether the wedding next weekend is going to be called off or not. The only slight concern that FI & I have is that XH might tell my dad something and that my dad will try to get us back together. My father is in love with my XH and deep down I think that he would love to see us get back together.

All I hear in my head right now is, "Jerry! Jerry! Jerry!"

Sounds like the wedding is a flute. It sounds like one of them things where they said ok they are dating lets date, they are engaged lets get engaged.

Cathy...wow! Ya he shouldn't be getting married! As much as your dad loves XH he needs to stay out of it and let you be happy. Let's hope he does!
