Wedding Dress Budget

Hi,

I am trying to find a wedding dress for under $1,000 and am going to a boutique about 2 hours away with the following designers and was wondering if people know the approximate prices of the dresses. The store won't really give me a good idea and I don't want to drive 2 hours if the prices are way out of my budget. Thanks!

Allure, Alma Novia, Casablanca, Jasmine Bridal, Mori Lee, Private Label, Pronovias, Sottero and Midgley, Damasco by La Sposa, Maggie Sottero, and Lauren Madison Private Collection.

I got a Mori Lee for about $650. I believe most of them are under $1000.

Have you said to them straight out that you don't want to go above 1000$? They might be more helpful if they know your budget

Yeah I will try and call again the person on the phone was kind of rushing me because I think they were really busy. What Mori Lee dress did you get acaponi87?

I have the allure 2456 and it was $750 plus $100 rush order and $150 for alterations

I want to stay as close to $1000 as possible but alterations can make it go a little over that budget if necessary.

I believe at least some of the Casablanca, Jasmine, Mori Lee, and Maggie Sottero dresses would be in the $1000 or under range. It really depends on the dress though.

My Mori Lee was $1,200, but I know there are several for under $1,000.

Casablanca, Allure, and Alfred Angelo all have dresses under $1,000.

I bought a Sottero & Midgley for $1589, I'm not sure how much their line runs on average but I'd guess around $1500.

It's sitting in store right now waiting for me to try it on! I still have to wait a few more weeks til I will be in town though :(

Are you dress shopping in MI? If you are in the Detroit area I can let you know where I got mine..it had a ton of dresses under $1000.

I looked at my favorite Jasmine dress at a salon. It was listed for $850 so it is totaly doable. I think you will be suprised, there are a lot more dresses under $1000 than you would think! Good luck!

Check out Nicole Michaels Bridal. She's at like 22 mile & Schoenherr. Quite a good selection..most were under $1000. Nicole is awesome to work with! If you look on her website right now it also looks like she's got a bunch of samples for sale so if you can make a size 12 work that might be a good way to go.

I got my casablanca gown for $900. I went to Gina's bridal in Milford. Most dresses are in the 700-1200 range.

My Allure gown I bought was $1500..and my 2nd choice Allure gown was about $1900. Both of those were from the Couture line which I think is the more expensive line of Allure Bridals. They have much more beadwork and details on the couture gowns. I'm guessing the regular Allure line might be cheaper?

The Maggie Sottero I tried on (my 3rd choice dress) was $2000. It had a lot of beadwork and lace and a lot of material (satin). But I also tried on another Maggie Sottero for $1200 but it was a little plain with only a little bit of beadwork detail.

I got my dress from Fantastic Finds in Lansing. They had a ton of dresses under $1000, and they were gorgeous. Mine only cost $900. I can share more info on them if you're interested, just PM me.

Allure, a few Casablanca plenty of Jasmine Bridal, plenty of Mori Lee, Maggie Sottero if its not too full are the ones that I know of when I looked a few weeks ago. I ended up going with a Mori Lee for 900. Don't stress, in the end you will find something you love, trust your instincts.

I live in WI, my dress is Jasmine and was about $750, will be around $900 with the alterations. You should be able to find plenty you like for under $1000. Sottero and Midgley & Maggie Sottero may have a few plain dresses for under that price, but I tried on or looked at in those brands were over.
