I'm not sure where you live but we got my moms dress on clearance @ Nordstroms. It was a great deal and I love it!! They had a really good selection.

I second Nordstroms! My mother found a dress there that she loved, but they didn't have her size and she wasn't sure she wanted to buy it without trying it on. They ordered it in her size from their store in Ohio for her to try on within a few days and she was sold!

Our mothers' dresses weren't super formal and we found my mom's on the sale rack at Macy's in Burlington and his mom's at JC Penny. Worth a try!

My mom found lots to try on at Modern Bride. Many of their long dress samples also come in a shorter, knee or tea-length cut, which worked for us.

My mom found hers at Norstrom Rack and got a great deal on it!

My mom and I happened to be on JC Penney one day and she found her dress there and got a great deal!

My mom just found her dress last week- We went to Abbey Bridal in Andover, Mass... TONS of choices for MOB dresses.
