Where is everyone & Ask anything

The board has been dead lately - what's everyone doing? And don't tell me you're working I don't believe it lol!

To liven things up let's do a ask anything. Basically you ask any knottie any question and they answer (if they want of course).

I'll go first - DetroitGrl: Why did you chose the Whitney? I mean besides the obvious that its freaking gorgeous - was there some special meaning or did you guys just like the venue?

Today is my first day back at work after more than two weeks off for the wedding & honeymoon. I want a nap!

To Erin- what are you doing with your dress? Preserving? Dry cleaning? Selling? Mine is sitting in a heap on my dresser and I don't know what to do with it. Besides potentially a TTD with Amanda Williams....

My dress will probably sit in its bag for a while lol. Dan wants me to sell it but I hate that idea. It needs to be cleaned but who knows when I'll get around to that. I'd love to do a TTD session though. I keep telling Dan I'm going to wear it on every anniversary!

Julie - when are you gonna come help me paint??? j/k But seriously, we should hang out sometime. I can come steal decorating ideas Innocent

I can help paint!  I don't do wallpaper thought!  I want to see your house...but you won't get decorating ideas from me -- our house is pretty plain and we're planning to register for decorations.  This week is busy and then I am headed to my parents on Thursday afternoon for the long weekend.  But maybe that weekend after I'll come check out the new digs.

    Aww Shoot - I'm up..

Ok - The honest answer is that I LOVE Detroit. I wanted something outdoors but unique. I was at the Whitney for our 10 year HS reunion last summer and rememered thinking how cool it would be to host something there. The Whitney just happens to be one of those ever so unique places in Detroit with all the things that the FI wanted: Great liquor, kick-butt ambiance, and free and secure parking. Plus they allowed us to have our vision of an evening ceremony with Dessert, Drinks and Dancing.

And the BEST part is that they AUTOMATICALLY reserve rain space inside.. and it's one of the only places that is COOL enough to host our indoor summer wedding in the City - the way we want it without killing our budget.

<div>It was actually really really fun!  I was pretty nervous about it, but once I got there, had a glass of champagne, and started getting my hair done I started to relax.  The photog, Lindsey Price (Lovellal Photography) was really sweet and she made me feel really comfortable.  We started with my most conservative outfit and just kind of went from there, LOL!  I cannot WAIT to see my pics, I think they turned out great.</div><div>

Jody!  Did you make your cuff links yet?  Can you pretty please tell me how you did it, and how it went?  I need to order our supplies soon if I'm going to do it, but I'm still nervous it won't turn out well.

    Carolyn,

I've been waiting for FI to help, but just found out this morning that work is sending him to Indiana tomorrow morning for the rest of the week. So I guess I will try to take them on myself this week. I should have an update for you by Thursday!

I don't have any questions for anyone right now, but Brandi, you've got email.

Of course I get really busy after posting this lol.

Detroitgrl - that's really cool. As happy as I am with our wedding, I wish I had looked into some 'nontraditional' venue choices. That is such a pretty place and so cool to be a part of all that history.

Julie - you don't have to come help paint but I'd love for you to stop by. It'd probably be better once we get it a little more fixed up lol. PM or email whenever you have free time and want to stop by.

Brandi - would kinkos/staples be too expensive to have them print you a poster board sized sign? When you go to your printer - there should be an option for banner or poster or similar. HTH!

Good!  I'm glad you had fun.  Mine went well too!!  I have a new appreciation for models!  So many poses felt so awkward but apparently that is what looks best.  I should have taken yoga before getting these done lol.  I can't wait to get mine either, she kept showing some to my sister who was there saying how awesome they looked, but she wouldnt show me and said I had to wait!   Boo.
