Hey Boston brides to be... How much is your bouquet?

I just started meeting with florists and I wanted to get a sense of what fellow Bostonian brides are paying for their bouquets. Thoughts? How much is too much?

It really depends on the types of flowers you want and whether they are in season.  Where exactly are you looking? This may help with estimates as well. ...

My bouquet is $125 for roses and calla lilies wrapped in satin ribbon...as pp says, it depends on what's in season when you are getting married. For reference, I was quoted anywhere from $100 - $250 from four different florists for my bouquet.

Hmm...I think mine was around $200?  As Krystalynne mentioned, there will be a big variation depending on type/season, but I would expect to pay at least $100 regardless of flower type at most places, and then I personally think anything between that and $200 is "reasonable" but everyone has their own definition of that word.

I'm working very hard to keep mine at $100 or less by focusing on only having blue hydrangeas with greens.  I have 9 BM's and 6 flower girls so it is adding up quickly!

Wow- thanks for all the help girls... I know nothing about flowers. We're getting married in August in Boston. I was quoted $200-250 for a nosegay of roses, gardenias, stephanotis, and orchids. Can anyone recommend a florist north of Boston? Better yet, what is the most important question to ask a florist?

Mine was around $200, which I thought was a rip-off for what I got.  :)

$100 for 18 purple roses and 12 deep purple cala lillies with green, 12" stem and satin wrap. A fab deal...florist is out of Quincy but delivers to central Boston.

It really does depend on what you are trying to do. As of right now, mine is $110, however my sister used the same florist and spent a lot more (because she used more expensive flowers in hers).  I am not picky about what goes into mine, so that helps with the savings.
