Catering Help

The venue we picked in Charleston is allowing us to pick any food vendor (we'll provide our own alcohol) we want. We live in Florida & have no experience with catering in Charleston.

Does anyone have any recommendations? Right now we're thinking it will be about 75 people. Our food budget is about $3000-$4000. We're looking for fresh/local food- preferably not the "typical" wedding fare.

We have plenty of time, just wanted to start making connections with some vendors.

Thanks!

Call Cafe Catering in Mount Pleasant - they're very creative and offer really great food options.  They are listed in the Caterers section for Charleston on the vendor page.
They're doing our wedding next month and one of our food stations is a Grilled Cheese Bar- guests pick their cheese and fillings - then the sandwich is grilled for them and served to them with a little cup of soup.
By the way - even though your venue will allow you to provide the liquor, you may have to use a bartending service for liquor liability reasons- double check with your venue - most facilities require a licensed and bonded bartending service.

I've been working with On The Fly of West Ashley. They have been so easy to work with and they are willing to work with your menu. And price wise is not bad at all.
