For a while there, I have to be honest, it seemed like FI and I were marked for misfortune. It was like anything that could go wrong did go wrong. FI even came down with pneumonia of all things. While the man is terribly accident prone, he hardly ever gets really sick. That was a rouch week and a half being so far away from him.
I guess about 2 or 3 weeks ago everything finally seemed to turn a corner. FI realized that he had way more leave time than he had first thought, and so he was able to put in to come home a little earlier than we'd planned, and it was approved in just a few days! He is so close to coming home that I can hardly believe it.
I can't wait to see him! This past weekend I bought our wedding bands, and today I went to the courthouse and got our marriage license. These are all little things I suppose, but I am finally getting that "holy crap, i'm getting married!" feeling.
Our little wedding is going to be amazing. I'm so excited!
