  One advantage I see upfront about using the same company is the price.  I've seen a lot of companies offer bundle deals/discounts if you get both services from them. There's also a chance they've worked together before, so that probably would improve chemistry.
  
  However, I wasn't planning to do video until recently beause I didn't think it was our budget/didn't know how much my parents wanted one, so mine will be from different companies. We absolutely love our photographer, so whoever we get will have to learn to get a long with her lol.

  I thought about this and the original videographer we wanted actually liked working with our photog. By the time we decided to go with him, our date was taken. Our new videographer had never worked with our photographer and I think it turned out fine.
  
  Don't stress too much about this. If they're professionals, they'll get the job done.

  My photog and videographer had never met prior to the wedding. They hit it off smashingly at the wedding and now they are FB friends, referring clients back and forth, etc.  Chemistry can happen without them coming from the same company.
