Addressing invitations

Is it tacky if we print labels and put them on our invitations. Our wedding, invites, reception are all informal. We designed the invites and had them printed at our local print shop. 

I don't want to hand write all of the envelops.  Can I just print labels and put them on the envelopes or do I need to handwrite or print directly to envelopes?

    The formality of your wedding isn't really relevant to the fact that handwriting the addresses is a nice gesture.

    Labels aren't "tacky" per se, but they can appear a bit impersonal.

    I handwrote all of mine and lived to talk about it. It's just a thoughtful touch in this digitalized world.

    I wrote out all of our "Save the Date" cards.  I think the handwriting is personal also. I was looking for ways to save time and my hands since I teach school and spend a lot of time writing.  (Selfish...I know..) But I feel weird about the printing. I guess I wanted someone to validate it since the voice in my head is telling me to handwrite them.  :)

    if you dont want to handwrite i would print directly on the envelope. I think labels are awful

    Agree with PPs.  Labels are tacky, tacky, tacky!

    Pick a nice script font and run them through your printer.
