Here we go. Note his cousin with the smirk behind him. Like I said, Scott is a very stoic "manly man" kind of guy. Kim (his sister) says she is still getting used to how he acts around me, because she isn't used to the romantic, lovey dovey, personality.

I was actually surprised I made it through the entire wedding. I almost lost it when I was dancing with my grandfather though. I was terrified of what my relatives would say about me marrying Scott, because they are very anti anyone other than "white male" for their family, and Scott has the whole Asian thing going on. Grandpa actually said "You found a man who is worthy of the love in your heart, I'm so proud of you right now and so glad to call you my granddaughter." I think it was the first time he's ever said he was proud of me.

Thanks :)

The room itself had a lot of reds and golds. The DJ also did that uplighting stuff so he made it magical.
We had these pilars that lit up with the music and it made me wish I had glow sticks.

Shelly- that is pretty awesome! you have a famous cake maker. I just found out whathisname that played Buster Bluth graduated from Samford Univ. in AL, I was thisclose to going there. Nothing significant but it makes me feel cool.

OMG!I would have gone to see buster! and worn a hook on my hand!

When we go to San Diego I think we're going to venture out to Balboa Park and order a Gob. Bonus points to people who can say what a "Gob" is.

The coolest part of the wedding, I got to cut my cake with a USMC sword

The cover (hat) was Dh's father's (along with the sword) and we put it on the table as part of our memorial to him.

Ok, one last AW post. My wedding cake. It was all buttercream icing, no fondant (so much cheaper!). It was so smooth, it was perfect (and delicious!)

Our one groomsman had broken his foot, so he wore a black tennis shoe so he had enough support for his foot. Actually the bridesmaid that he was matched up with just got out of a boot for foot surgery!

And my thank you to the knot. We used this pic for our thank you cards, everyone loved it and thought we were so creative! Heehee, stole the idea from the knot.

That we did not, although he did do the "wack your wife on the butt with the sword" tradition. I threatened to pick up the scabbord and wack him back. Apparently that was correct "Marine wife" response according to his mom.
