  A pregnant lady was going to have unpaid maternity leave and since she would be receiving lovely hand-me-downs from friends she wondered if people could give her money for her baby shower and what would be the best way to ask for money.

  Tee hee.  I wasn't able to read it, stupid work computer blocks everything.  If she's worried about not getting paid while she's out, she could always try welfare.  That way, we're all paying for her leave, but she doesn't have to be rude and ask for it.
