Well I am officially a MRS! I did not post very much on here, but did read and get take a few tips here and there from fellow brides. So, I just wanted to say thank you to those that post and give advice. I also want to post my vendor reviews to help other brides out. I truly had an amazing day and could not have worked with a better group of people. I gave everyone A+++++ because they truly deserved them. I spent a lot of time picking my vendors and it paid off. I only gave one F and the person was awful to work with and the only drama I experienced throughout the whole planning process. Enjoy my vendor reviews and for all those still yet to tie the knot, the best piece of advice I can give is take a moment every so often to take it all in because it goes by quick! Enjoy yourself and dance the night away with your husband!
DeCarlo Photo A+++++
Meagan and Anthony were amazing to work with. Not only did we get the opportunity to have them share in our wedding day, but they photographed my husband and me for 2 engagement shoots and me in a boudoir. We also have a fashion shoot scheduled for post wedding pictures in my dress (a semi trash the dress). We are still waiting on our photographs, but I can go ahead and give the A+++++ in all confidence because all of their work is amazing. They knew exactly what we wanted and are very easy to work with. I cannot wait to work with them again. And I cannot give them enough good reviews. Fairytale Studio A+++++
David and Arif are amazing at what they do! We also worked with Dave prior to our wedding, doing a Portrait Film. A Portrait Film is a time capsule of the couples lives in that moment. It truly came out amazing! David went above and beyond and came to our Jack and Jill to project the Portrait Film for us. We cannot wait to see our wedding video, but again in all confidence I can give an A+++++. Let me know if anyone wants any additional info on Fairytale Studio. Larissa Lake A+++++
Need I say more…A lot of girls rave about Larissa and I am just adding to the list. Not only does she make you look absolutely gorgeous, she is calming and fun to be around while getting ready! Stephanie and Larissa were so much fun to work with. They both made me, my MOH and MOB look amazing. I had the opportunity to work with Larissa for my boudoir shoot as well and cannot say enough good things about both that shoot and my wedding. I am also having her do my hair and makeup for my post-wedding fashion shoot. I cannot get enough of her work!! Thanks Larissa and Stephanie for making me feel beautiful!!
Jane- Just for You A+++++
Another A+ job for Jane, she was able to make my vision come to life. I was very excited to work with her, as many brides have raved about her work. All of my flowers were amazing!! Thank you Jane!!
Powerstation (David Rossi) A+++++
David was an amazing DJ. Not only did we work with David at the wedding, but he was also our dance instructor. We worked with David for 2 sessions for our first dance. He was an excellent dance instructor and helped us have an amazing first dance. He also kept the party going at the wedding. He had the whole crowd dancing the night away. Thank you David for helping us to have an amazing wedding!!
Saybrook Point Inn (Venue) A+++++
From the first time I met with the wedding coordinator Liz Sullivan I knew I was in good hands. She was amazing to work with throughout the whole planning process. She truly made me feel like I was the only bride she was working with. She was always quick to respond to my questions and concerns and always had solutions if any problems arose. Along with making the planning process fun and enjoyable; she assisted in making the wedding day go off without a hitch. She made a visit to my room the day of the wedding to let me know the last minute details were taken care of and not to worry. I truly was stress free the day of my wedding thanks to Liz. Donna and all of the other staff the night of the wedding were beyond accommodating. My husband and I could not even ask for anything, it was there waiting for us. All of the guests raved about the food and service as well. I would definitely recommend Saybrook Point Inn to any bride. Not only is the venue breathtaking, the staff is amazing to work with!
Sassy Notes A+++++
I went back and forth with invitations and ended up going with Sassy Notes. Shana was very helpful and easy to work with. I met with her and picked out the invitation and she did all of the leg work. She also gives the same discounts you find online. She was very helpful when my RSVP cards came in incorrect. She contacted the company and had them over-nighted to me at no extra cost. Thank you Shana for helping me pick out beautiful wedding invitations!!
Essex Trolley A+++++
We decided to book a trolley after meeting another couple at our tasting. We thought it would be a fun way to transport the wedding party to and from the church. It worked out perfectly! Not only was it a unique way to provide transportation, but it made for some cute pictures!
Michele Bridal A+++++
Krista, the manager of Michele Bridal was truly amazing! The shop changed management after I ordered my dress and I thought I was in for a nightmare, but instead it worked out better than I could have asked for. Krista assisted me when my dress came in missing beading and also when we had a bit of an alteration crisis (see below). She was very calming and always available to answer questions. We also ended up ordering my MOB dress from her. She sells some gorgeous dresses and is amazing to work with. Thank you Krista for everything!!
Flavia’s Tailoring F
I cannot begin to describe the nightmare. To make it short and sweet she tried to overcharge me and then would not give me a price break down of where I was spending my money. She was rude and condescending throughout the whole appointment. I ended up pulling my dress from her and going elsewhere. She was awful to work with. Bride to bride---BEWARE!!
Sew Much the better (Pam) A+++++
My lifesaver after the rath of Flavia. After I pulled my dress from Falvia and was in tears on my way to Michele Bridal, Pam met me at Michele Bridal and worked her magic. The sad part is there was very little to do on my dress, all I needed was a bustle and small tuck along the bust line. Flavia was trying to cut my train and more nonsense. Pam was literally a quarter of the price and told me exactly where I was spending my money. But more importantly, she was kind and appropriate. Flavia spent my whole appointment telling me how designers are wrong and she knows everything about her job and on and on. Pam did her job without the BS. She also made my bustle look amazing!! Thank you Pam for saving the day!!
Pasty Fusion A+++++
Our cake looked and tasted amazing! We had the option to pick between three different vendors and chose Pastry Fusion not only because their cakes looked/tasted good, but because Frank was easy to work with. He took our vision and made it come to life. Our cake was quite intricate- it sat on a piece of glass with votives holding the glass. There was a lot that went into this cake and Frank made it look amazing. It was exactly what we asked for!
