  • BTW Muni, I really love your dress. The detailing on the skirt looks really pretty.

  • I wish I could KUi right now....there is only one beer in the fridge and some margarita mix, sans tequila. Too lazy to go to the store.

  • Stlz, it's okay.  I'm trying not to write so much about things between H and I on the forums lately, so I've been kind of closemouthed about it.  In a way, I'm kind of glad that it happened.  Having his family aware sort of pigeonholed H into facing up to what was going on.  He had a nervous breakdown this past weekend, the same way he did in both April and September.  This time, though, it hasn't stopped, and he's been having anxiety attacks daily ever since.  Back in September our counselor told H he thought he had anxiety and depression problems, but H has been in denial of it since then.  He told me today that he's ready to face the diagnosis and to get some solo therapy.  We're seeing our counselor on Tuesday, so I'm hoping we get something scheduled then.

It would be nice if they required you to provide other identifying information, like the last four digits of your CC number. Otherwise, you could have jealous exes around the world canceling things willy nilly. That really sucks. Posted by wrigleyville[/QUOTE]

We were afraid of exactly that happening, so it's in the venue contract that if they get a call, they are to hang up and call my cell phone.

  • H is in law school.  It's a year round evening program (he works full-time).  He only gets breaks for 2-3 weeks at a time, so we didn't feel that we had time for a wedding AND a honeymoon during one of his breaks, so we're going during the next school break.
  • That pic is indeed awesome.

  • Oh, Bay, I'm so sorry to hear about that.  I hope things get smoother for you soon.
  • Don't forget Muni, I'm going to carry your shopping bags and luggage. Just to be helpful, not at all for my own personal gain.

  • Yall, I am dipping my strawberry popsicle into my blush wine and it is delish. Thought you should know.
  • That sounds like a great plan, Aryn.  I might copy you, actually.  But not with strawberry and blush.  Maybe with Tangerine and Moscato?
  • When are you moving Aryn? When does your new job start?

  • Muni, I'm actually relieved.  He's been fighting the diagnosis since he originally got it back in September.  I battled anxiety for three years before I sought counseling and took it seriously, and while I don't think this is going to be a perfect fix, it's a relief that he's actually ready to face that he has a problem, and get help for it.

And btw?  SO jealous of your honeymoon destination.  You are going to have a blast.

  • They had the Whip last summer when I was there, so I'm pretty sure it's still there.  I'm thinking there must've been a mini-Whip in Kiddieland because until the tornado incident a few years back it was always under a pavilion.

IRL. One of FI's exes, to be specific.

  • Well, good, then!  Hopefully he gets his meds or counseling or whatever the solution is straightened out fairly quickly/smoothly.  Do you think this will have a positive impact on your relationship?
  • Bay, I can understand keeping stuff off the forums.  I'm sorry he's having these breakdowns, but hopefully seeing a therapist on his own will help him deal with his issues.  I just hope that he doesn't drag you down with him.
  • Edie. Malibu rum and pineapple juice. BOOM.

WAY too early to tell.  I'm just hoping he doesn't swing his opinion back before Tuesday.
