We met with a possible lighting vendor last night.

It did not go well. He wasn't prepared at all and I really felt like he wasn't listening to me. He couldn't even remember when our date was! I was really disappointed considering one of my best friends used him for her wedding.

He was really trying to push me to do some crazy colored lighting and it just wasn't what I wanted at all.

Back to the drawing board! Luckily our tent vendor recommended a guy they normally work with!

It boggles my mind when vendors are so unprofessional. Don't you want my money!

The first florist we met with was like that; I don't think they even remembered the appointment until we walked through the door. Then they spent the next few mintues deflecting our questions and focusing on what they considered "our very small budget."

Go with someone who is excited (or at least prepared) to serve you...

Last night I made the flags for our striped paper straws and affixed them all. It was surprisingly relaxing.

Kelsey, I hate when people don't listen to what I want. Glad that you have another vendor to meet with!

Oh, Tara!! What kind of paper did you end up using for them?! That's why I haven't started on ours yet!

And yea, I don't think we'll be going with him. It was seriously so bad. FI was so annoyed. At least we met at our venue so we were able to have dinner there afterwards. Otherwise it would have been a total bust.

Kelsey, I'm sorry the light guy didn't work out. Hope the next one works out.

We picked out the rehearsal dinner invitations. FMIL wants them to go in with the invitations so I need to order them in the next couple weeks.

I actually used full sheet sticker paper (actually, I think they're mailing labels) but they are white. In Julie's blog she said it was a pain to keep them from falling down with just glue dots and that the adhesive in the stickers would work better. They look adorable! I'll try to take pictures and post them later.

We went to the Tux rental place and picked out the Tuxes the GM and FI will be wearing. It was surprisingly the easiest thing we've done so far! I can't wait to see him all "dolled" up!

I ordered my shower dress last night from David's Bridal. I was going to get a different one but it wasn't really my style (even though I liked it) and was nonrefundable so I kept looking. I found a simple strapless one that can be worn for anything else.

I also got my Lia Sophia jewelry from my aunt's party a few weeks ago. I now have 4 different earrings I can wear so when my dress comes in I'll have to try each of them with the dress. I also got my fake wedding ring that I can wear when I bartend.
