  • Hello!
We are getting married at Millcreek Barns in St. Joes and are also from out of town. We are going with CK catering. I really like the owner, Bob and the food is great. They are doing a group tasting on oct. 21 ( I think) it's free and you can try a bunch of the food at once to see if you like it. Look them up on facebook for the info. We are probably going with Crystal Springs Florist, they seem very reasonable and nice. We are doing cupcakes and using Mimi's Cupcakes. They have a ton of different flavors and they are really cute... We are staying at the Boulevard Inn, we liked it alot better than the Silver Beach place ( or whatever its called) down the street. MUCH nicer rooms for about the same price. Hmm yeh thats all I can think of off hand. Hope that helps some!
If anyone else knows of a good hair/makeup place I would love to know as well! We are also trying to find an affordable shuttle place for our guests at the end of the night... :)
  • Oh yeh! We are also using With a Twist for bartending. I heard really good things about them. :)
  • I have many decorations for rent that would be Amazing for a barn wedding. I have lots of burlap items from runners to center pieces. Also some whiskey barrels for rent. Everything I have has been used in a barn setting. Let me know if your interested, I can send you pictures.
  • Hi!!  I'm getting married there too but not until May 24, 2014.  2013 was totally booked!  I just got engaged last Friday but we looked at this venue well before and knew we loved it.  I'd love to keep in touch througout your process for any suggestions and tid bits you can offer me down the road.  One thing I wanted to mention is that I found two really GREAT beach houses to rent for the bridal party and close friends/family.  Each sleeps 15-20 and they share private access to the beach - perfect for rehearsal or after party!!! :)  The contact email is michiganlakerentals@gmail.com and the homes are "Darn Barn" and "Sunset Bluff."  Thought you may want to take a peek!

    I look forward to chatting!
    Rebekah

  • I just got married on Saturday and used Robert Michael Salon out of Watervliet, MI for our hair and makeup. They will come to your house, are very reasonably priced and do a GREAT job.
  • Hi everyone! I was thinking of booking my wedding here by am overwhelmed by all the extra expenses (catering, bartender, alcohol, dishes, linens, staff, etc.). Can someone tell me any places they used to get good deals and, if you don't mind, approximately how much you spent to get married here?

    Thanks!
    Kelly
