WHAT THE NINJA.
i saw a woman do this on idkiwp. if an unknown fluid was coming to my body, my first reaction would not be to catch it in my cupped hands and bring it to my face.

You better believe when I discovered my sheets were wet, I had my nose all over them. I even made DH smell it to get a second opinion.

Mine felt nothing like pee. At all. Of course, it helped that mine broke in the morning, as I was getting up to pee, and I was not relieved after the gush. Also, it kept coming - pee usually ends. I just kept trickling.
yay form baby pmeg! In the meantime, are you sitting on a roll of paper towels, ala burpsalot?

Yes, it was the real deal. But I never had the GUSH. Mine was more like involuntary leaking and the doc broke my water again at the hospital. That's when I felt the gush.
Mine didn't break at all until the hospital, not even a trickle. The nurse finally went to get the attending to break it, and the second she stepped out, it gushed. Good thing, because when the doctor came back with the amnio hook I wanted to clamp my legs shut.

I didn't feel a thing (meaning the hook). In fact, I didn't know he broke my water until I felt it coming out.
