Grrr. We bought unfinished knobs for DD1's "new" dresser. It was in Son's old room, too big for his new room, so will be going in DD1's room, her old dresser (also the changing table) going to DD2's room.
Anyway, DH stained the dresser to match DD's current furniture and needed new knobs, because the old knobs (baseballs) didn't match.
DH went to stain these new unfinished knobs and they've got some kind of poly or coating on them. And DH already opened all 10 packages of knobs because, you know, unfinished makes you assume they're actually unfinished.
So I'm sitting here sanding 20 round knobs for DH. His poor arthritic hands started hurting at the thought of doing this, so I decided to surprise him.
