How about a stick-on wall mural? I've never used them because my walls are textured...but supposedly you can peel them off when done. Perfect for apartments or places you don't want anything permanent. I think you could find a really fun one for that wall! Here are some on etsy (<----Clicky), but i've even seen them at Kohl's and Target...
I love this frame set from BBB. I used to ogle it when I worked there. I like it because you can always rearrange it or use some of the frames elsewhere in the house/apartment as well.

I tend to lead toward more contemperary (sp?). I have black wrought iron lamps and candles in there with wooden and a rock type end tables and coffee table. My furniture is a sage color. The walls are a neutral tan (doesn't show up well in the picture, sorry) I can take pics of the two other pictures I have up on the opposite wall on either side of the doorway leading to the dining room. They're neutral colors as well. I am open to anything really though. There's a LOT of space to deal with, over 11.5 feet! Yikes! Thanks so much ladies.

I really like that also! I have tons of pictures that I need framed anyway so that could really work!

Liv - I did frames/shelves on one of my walls too and love it! I also have hanging picture frames in my entryway that are pretty nice...I got them from At Home America(<---Clicky). Here's a pic from the website:

Also check out Ross and or TJ Maxx (if they have them in your area). We have purchased several large wall-art pieces, and none of them were more than $30. Maybe you could paint that wall as an accent wall, then put some nice wall-art and maybe one of the sayings on there.
You could also do something like this. But a sheet set in a pattern you really like. Go buy cheap canvases at Michael's. Wash and iron the sheets, cut them according to the size of the canvases, and use a staple gun to secure them. Voila! Wall art!

I don't know exactly how easy it is, but I think it's such an awesome way to fill up an empty wall.
