RUSTIC WEDDING VENUES IN MARYLAND/DC AREA????????

Hi,

Do you know of any Rustic venues in Maryland and/or DC area!?!  Not too expensive,  reasonable....maybe around 1000 no more than 2000 for site fee?! However, we can be flexible ;) .......

I have been looking and cannot find any...even a winery with a nice reception area is fine...with wood, tall ceilings and a reasonable price! Thank you for your ideas and help!!......Thank you!

no clue on pricing but check out shade trees and evergreens in Frederick, MD - not sure their site I'm sure you can find it on google.  A friend of mine is having her ceremony and reception there.

Not sure about decor or pricing and everything, but I know there are a few wineries down in Southern Maryland, about 2-2.5 hrs from DC.

    Cove Point Winery is one.

If you're just looking for a rustic site, you could try any of the parks (Seneca Creek State Park, Black Hill Regional Park) - though they would be more suited to outdoor weddings, but should have covered pavillions you could set up for the reception. And you can't beat the scenery.

Also, in Southern Maryland you could look at Historic St. Mary's City.  It's on a river with beautiful scenic views. There is a Gazebo that would be used for the ceremony, as well as a recplica of the old State house, and a church (though it's a little small).  The area by Farthing's Ordinary (and the location where most tours would start) has a number of tables beneath and arbor, as well as a large open space that could be used for a tent reception.
There is a Visitor's Center, that has, if I remember correctly, a large barn-like pavillion that could easily be dressed up for a wedding.

The Brome-Howard Inn is not that far away from Historic St. Mary's, and while not rustic, it is very charming and has done outdoor weddings on it's grounds.

    Hope it helps. Congratulations.

ThorpeWood is good, but it would be a little over your budget ($3,000).

Try the Howard County Conservancy. Beautiful location, 300 yr old barn, beautiful banquet room, 230 acres, and you'd be supporting a non-profit.
