Oh no, school nightmares suck! Especially when they're so realistic that you wake up still wondering if that actually happened. I'm sorry you're going through that. Hopefully once the stress of cramming and your upcoming exams goes away, you'll feel better.

And btw, I said this earlier in FFF, but for the record I think you're hilarious. You crack me up on the regular, so thank you for that. I definitely notice when you're not around.

I haven't read the whole thread yet (only on page 3, sorry I ran away to do laundry), but I have to say I do think a lot of people are mean to new posters for no reason. That's certainly no reason to call out the whole board, which is just stupid, but these phrases (and variations of them) are used (not facetiously) way to often if you ask me:
-you'll fit right in here
-who are you? do i even know you?
-that doesn't bode well for you
etc.

I know those aren't necessarily mean, but seriously. I'm not going to tell someone they won't "fit in" based on one stupid comment they make. I say stupid shiit all the time.

I figure all this stress stuff is kind of a rite of passage. But I am definitely going to be glad when it's all over, though. No matter what the result is on May 12, I think I'll be headed straight to the bar afterwards.

I take the oral exam with my committee, then they tell me to sit in the hallway, and then they call me back in, and then they tell me whether I passed or not. So either way, it will be pretty instantaneous. At least there's that.

I have a feeling this future GTG will be epic. :)

I agree that it's probably an AE, I just don't like how many people act all judgy about new people. Not mean, so I really don't agree with the AE, but judgy about who's allowed. And yes I realize that most, or all, of those phrases in this post were sarcastic.
