Catholic churches to hold ceremony in Seattle or the islands?

Can anyone recommend a Catholic church in Seattle or on any of the islands? Why do you like that particular church?

Out of towner looking at where to hold a ceremony...just came back from vacationing there, but alas did not look at any places! Thank you in advance Smile

  • St. Marks, on 10th ave E (north Capital Hill) is EPIC. It's huge and beautiful and they sing vespers.

i'm not Catholic but it's in my neighborhood and I think it's a lovely place. The view is incredible; it overlooks the city.

It does look pretty! But it's not a Catholic church
  • Saint James is stunning. It's a bit pricey though!

Agreed! It's gorgeous! But last time I checked, which was about 2-3 years ago, they wanted $2200 for non-parishioners and $700 for parishioners. Not sure if the prices have gone up since then but it's worth asking them if you can afford it!

That was the first place I looked into....a bit too big of a church (and expensive) to fit our small party and budget.
  • We are having our Catholic ceremony at St. James Parish in Capitol Hill (18th and Aloha). We are parishoners of the Church and have been very happy there. It's a wonderful community and a very forward-thinking parish. It's a Jesuit church, with my fiance and I enjoy as we went to a Jesuit college. I would highly recommend it!
