Hi ladies!
I know I'm not FB friends with everyone, so I thought I'd share a few pictures here (well, LTG told me I needed to, basically) so I wouldn't leave anyone out.
All in all, the wedding was ah.may.zing. I have never had a better day. It was absolutely everything I wanted it to be. I got so many complements on everything from the colors and decor to the food and venue, and (most importantly) the dance floor was packed all night. Guys, Audrewuh's FI has got some
moves. Haha! I had several people tell me that they thought it was the most fun they'd ever had at a wedding. One of my friends said "Don't tell my sister [who got married last year], but this is the best wedding I've ever been to." Squee! Even my mom said she couldn't think of a single thing she would change.
...That said, there were a few minor details that went wrong, and I thought I'd share those really quick. There were so many high points, but I don't want to go into details on all of those yet until I have the pro. pics to back them up. Sooo, the not-so-high points:
1. We worked all night on our flower arrangements the night before, then took them to the venue first thing Saturday morning. They didn't have our tables ready for them yet, so they put the flowers in the cooler to preserve them until the tables were ready. When the flowers came back out of the cooler... they smelled like fish. All of our bouquets smelled horrible. It.was.hilarious.
2. One of our GMs was given two different size shoes from the rental place. One size 10 and one size 12. We got several pictures of his mismatched feet.
3. The DJ played the wrong song as we entered the reception. He realized it when he saw the look on my face and quickly switched to the right song: Hedwig's Theme. Then my face lit up and everyone laughed.
4. Despite how tight my dress was when we put it on, it slipped a little a few times. I tripped on the hem more than once. One of the times was right as we were entering the reception. I got so tangled in it that I couldn't take a step without help for fear I would fall flat on my face. I just stood there looking helpless while everyone watched me expectantly.
5. Our first dance was awful. Poor H (first I wrote "poor FI"). He was so nervous about it that he couldn't just relax and move, and he botched several steps. I think we (at least, I) did a good job of laughing it off and having fun anyway, though.
6. The ceremony got started about 10 minutes late because my grandmother was late, so the food was starting to cool by the time most people were served. Oops.
7. I left Tarra's hair flower at Nick's parents' house (where it was delivered) an hour from our ceremony site. I didn't realize it until the night before, when everyone was up at the lake already. So I ran to the nearest Hobby Lobby and bought two fabric flowers for $3 each. Not ideal, but oh well. Thankfully, the Harry Potter magic bangles all made it.
8. My bustle was broken very early in the night. I think I had my skirt bustled for about 10 minutes before one of the little girls stepped on my skirt and ripped the button right out. I ended up holding the wrist-loop all night. It didn't bother me one bit.
And now, a few pictures -- all stolen from FB:
A sneak peek from our photog. I don't love myself in it, but H looks fantastic.

Sharing a dance with RB:

Me and the BP. H took this picture with his phone. Not bad, considering.

Another professional sneak peek. I am in LOVE with both of these shots:
