Invites for vendors?

Are you supposed to send an invitation to your vendors, i.e. photographer and DJ?

Re: Invites for vendors?

  • I dont believe so since they are there as paid employees and working.

  • I also don't think so since they usually have something about a meal in their contract or you can get cheaper vendor meals for them.

If I can add a question to your post, Do you send an invitations to your officiant?  We are using a judge not a priest/pastor if that makes a difference.

  • We plan on providing our vendors with the same meal as our guests (dual plated entree), so I won't have to worry about them choosing their meal on an RSVP card. Guess I can skip them and save the postage!

One of our officiants is my future step-mom, so she'll get an invite, and yes, I was planning to send an invite to our other officiant. I know he'll be there anyway, but he's also a close family friend of FI's. Our ceremony is also not at his church, which I think helps support our sending him one.
  • There wasn't anything specific in our contracts and since we have a choice of entrees, we just plan to email our DJ and photographer to find out what meal they prefer.

  • I will be sending an invite to my photographer, but no other vendor.

  • To save postage, but for the nice gesture, why not just give them one by hand aqt your next meeting?  I am really good friends with my photographers, so I'm just going to give them one.
