Honeymoon locations?!?!?

We are footing the entire bill, but really want a decent honeymoon. Any suggestions for all inclusives in the Caribbean/warn climates? We would love Hawaii but its wayyyy out of the question

Arbua! Or Cabo San Lucas! Or Costa Rica! You have a ton of options, and plenty of time to plan. Or you could go to a travel agent and get their help/input.

Check out Trip Advisor, or cheapcaribbean.com for ideas and reviews of places.

FI and I are planning on Aruba since it's outside of the hurricane belt and we'll be going in August. His parents to go Divi All Inclusive there every year and LOVE it, so thats probably where we'll go.

I at first thought that Hawaii was way out of our budget as well but we are going for two weeks and staying at hotels under $200 a night and our total trip cost is under $5,000. It can be done! Let me know if you have questions!!

I went to Playa del Carmen (in the Riveria Maya in Mexico), and had a blast!  I had just gotten out of college so we didn't have a ton of money to spend on a trip, and it was really nice and really affordable.  we went over New Years too, when rates are normally really high, and it was pre-recession.

also, we're getting a beach house through homeaway.com.  It's in a really nice area of spain, right above the beach, and we are spending like $2K for 2.5 weeks.  It's not all inclusive obviously, but we will save a lot by making all our breakfasts and lunches.  They have places all over the world, so worth checking out!

We just got back from the Paradisus in PuntaCana.  They have some AMAZING deals going on thru TNT vacations (you can book through AAA or just thru TNT).  It includes your non-stop flight (from Logan), transfer, hotel stay, food AND alcohol.

We've been to both resorts at the Paradisus and I like Palma Real better because it's newer and I liked the food better.  It was a great stay! It's nice because you don't have to worry about anything.  The Paradisus is a 5 star all inclusive and it has all top shelf liquor I guess.

    Just a thought!

Check out the dominican republic if you are looking for cheap. My friends and I went there a couple years ago, and it was like $600 for flights and all inclusive for 5 days. I also second the recommendation for cheapcaribbean.com. Also travelzoo can point you to some great deals.

Hey there!  We are doing 8 nights of all-inclusives in Antigua!  The first 4 nights are at the CocoBay resort, the next 4 nights are at Sandals.  We're getting all the luxuries; private pools, private butlers, etc for around $5K...all food, beverage, flights, and even some activities included.  My email is blocked but we found the 2-resort package on a great honeymoon site...I can't remember the link :(

Check out Iberostar Grand Paraiso in Riviera Maya. We stayed there 2 years ago and it was amazing. We were totally spoiled. All inclusive, great pools, swim up bars, butlers who spoil you, all your food and drink is obviously included and it's all top notch. Check out TNT vacations, apple vacations and you can get some more info.
Also try talking to a travel agent, give them your budget and what you're looking for. You would be surprised what they come up with!

Anywhere in the Mayan Riviera! Can't beat the beaches and prices in Mexico. I've been to Hawaii and loved it but if you can't afford to do it right, wait until you can! It's too far and expensive...you want the most of it. I've also done Aruba, DR, Bahamas, Puerto Rico...you name it. Mexico is the best on a budget. Someone mentioned Iberostar. I loved it there! Also loved the Paradisus. We are going to Mexico for our honeymoon so that we can go to Italy the following summer. Staying at Secrets Maroma. Good luck!

We are going to Barbados - since wer are getting married at the end of August we wanted something not in the hurricane belt.  I have heard many wonderful things about it and am so excited!  Good luck - no matter what you choose it is going to be wonderful!

I forgot to mention with the Iberostar Grand Parasio, is adults only. So nobody under 18 allowed. An absolute must on the HM!

We're heading to Costa Rica.  It's actually a lot more affordable than you would think!  It's a great trip for adventurous activities (volcano hikes, hot springs, ziplining through the jungle, ATVing through jungle) but also has some amazing beaches to veg at.  We're doing two parts - 4 nights outside of the volcano arenal in a gorgeous hotel in the jungle where we'll do most of the crazy-adventure activities (not all inclusive), then doing 6 nights down by the beach in a 5* all inclusive.  We upgraded to the romance suite so it was a bit more $$, but ultimately the trip without airfare (which is only like $300-$400 BTW!) could have been $1500-2K p/person.  Cheap for 11 nights and 6 of them being all inclusive!

kales: We aren't paying for flights because we are using FI's frequent flier miles. We used Pleasant Holidays to book all of our hotels, airport transfers, interisland flights etc and the total package came to $3,500. We are staying at the Waikiki Parc with and ocean front room the Royal Lahaina with an ocean front room and the Royal Kona with an ocean front room. Just gotta go back and forth with the TA and get the best deals!

I agree that Aruba is awesome!  We stayed at the Radisson two Augusts ago and loved it!  I hear there are great all inclusive places as well.  It's a great place to go and chill.  :)

Definitely check out the Excellence Resort in the Dominican Republic.  The knot won't let me write the full name, but it's the one in P*nta Cana.  A bunch of my friends went there for their HM and recommended DH and I go there for our recent vacation.  It was amazing!  Everything is included in the price - food, alcohol, even tips - and we had such a great and relaxing time.  I highly recommend it!
