What does everyone do? (What's your job/career, going to school, etc.) And what does your FI do?

I'm a student at Southeast Missouri State, graduating with my BSBA in December! My FI graduated from here (that's how we met) with his BSBA last July and is working to save up money and hopefully start a great career once he moves to Illinois. Once I graduate, I would love to get into real estate, but we'll see what the family decides to do.

You are so good with the starters!

I'm a registered nurse, currently I work in case management/disease management, calling patients and doctors all day. I'm still on staff at the hospital where I used to work full time, I pick up one shift a month to help pay for the wedding!

My FI is some kind of computer geek. I think his actual title is infrastructure architect, but I have no idea what that is. When he vents about work, honestly I try to pay attention, but it is all so way over my head. I know he's just venting to vent, so when he sounds shocked, I agree shocked, when he sounds outraged, I sound outraged. I just know he can fix my laptop when it gets snarky.

Currently I am an Internet Sales Manager at a local car dealership. But I am applying to get my Masters in Health Administration. Hope I get accepted! My FI is currently in Law School at Syracuse Universtiy. He will graduate 5 weeks before you get married. I will proabably more to Syracuse since he will probably get a job there.

I am a government records archivist at the state archives where I live. Soooo...pretty much a librarian with unique government documents. I like it but the money is not good

FI is a Java programmer and writes web applications.

We are pretty nerdy people I guess...

I have a BSBA and work as a retail manager. I am on a waiting list for nursing school, all my prerequisites are done and everything just waiting on the paperwork to tell me I am in, and then I will go back to being a full time student, which will likely be the fall after FI and I are married. FI is a police officer.

I am a PhD student in Engineering working on fuel cell research. I won't finish for some time, but when I do I have a job lined up already due to a sweet fellowship program.

FI works in telecommunications maybe 20 miles from my school, so it works out.

I'm a Contract Specialist for a large well-known cereal and snack food company (they're Grrrrrreat...hehe).

FI is a full-time firefighter for the city we live in, and is also a certified police officer. Being a firefighter is his full-time job (works 24 hours on, has 48 hours off) but he ocassionally will do police work in a neighboring city to keep his certification active.

I am a full-time student in nursing school! I am in my 4th semester of the Bachelor's program (2 more to go and I'm done!) I will graduate right before we get married. I also have a part time job as a Certified Pharmacy Technician. I have worked there for the past 4 years and love it! My boss is awesome and works around my crazy school schedule really well.

FI is in school as well. He will graduate this May with a Management Bachelor's and a focus in Entertainment, Sports, Promotions and Management. I'm not exactly sure how to describe the type of job he would be able to have with that, but for instance he is currently interning with our local minor league hockey team as the Director of Game Day Promotions - so all of the games and entertainment they have during the game as well as getting all of the sponsers, etc. Hopefully he will get a job soon after graduation because he currently works at a shoe store 1 day a week! haha

My main job if coaching gymnastics at the local YMCA. I also coach gymnastics for one of the high school teams in the area. And I babysit for two different families!
My FI is a physical therapist.

I am a second grade teacher. I am also pursuing my masters for curriculum and instruction along with ELL/ESL. This is my second year of teaching and I absolutely love it!

My FI is currently finishing up his last semester of college. He graduates in May - YAY! He is pursuing a business degree so his options are pretty open. However, he has no idea what he would like to do for the time being. He eventually wants to own rental properties.

Right now, I do all kinds of things! In September, I started as a secret shopper for a local convenience store. I just started this week in a couple part time/temporary positions there too. I'm working in human resources employment department taking over some duties of a woman who will be going on maternity leave in a few weeks. I am also working part time in the training department taking over some of the duties of their administrative assistant who is taking on another project as well. So, I work in 3 different departments of the same company! And, to top it off, I actually went to school to be a middle/high school English teacher!

My FI works for a small business his dad owns, which sells professional audio and lighting equipment. I think his official title is "Professional Audio Consultant" but since there are only 3 employees there, it doesn't really matter

Their business sells to a lot of DJs and they do a lot of installs in churches and schools for sound systems... so we've got some connections! I'm leaving all of the sound stuff (especially DJ) to him, since he is soooo picky about it all!

This is hilarious!! I do the same thing when my FI starts venting about sound equipment! He gets really picky with his car audio system. He changes one tiny setting his his speakers and asks if it sounds better to me. When I say, I don't hear a difference, he's like "really?! It's SO much better!"

I am a Nursing Student! I work as a nursing Assistant at a very well known hospital in my area, Women & Infants Hospital of Rhode Islandd. It's such an amazing place to work. I bounced around a few departments (reproduction & infertility, NICU) before i found one that I absolutely love. I now work in post-partum (we refer to it as the mother/baby unit) and i love everryyyy second of it. It makes me want babies real bad some days! I hope when i finish my Nursing degree to be able to get a job in my unit.. I could totally see myself being a baby nurse for the rest of my life.

Fi has a degree in Automotive Technology. He is the Business Development Coordinator there, and he is also filling in as the Internet sales manager temporarily, so he puts in a lot of hours and we don't see much of each other.

But I suppose that is a good thing, because this wedding has to get paid for some how! lol

I am currently a Part Time Assistant Manager for the retail store Hot Topic. My fiance is a college student, going to Computer Science and Engieering. He SHOULD have been able to graduate around the time we're planning on getting married, but since his college is switching to Semesters starting next school year, he is most likely going to be there for another year or so :-(

I am attending school full time to become an accountant. We were going to get married this year since I gradutate in May, but we felt we would be more stable if we waited until next year so I would have plenty of time to find and job. My FI works for TDOT. He works on a bridge maintainance crew.
