Reception Confusion! Please Help!

Our wedding is going to take place in Gatlinburg, TN on Saturday August 18, 2012. A select amount of guests are getting invited to go see the actual wedding ceremony and then to a dinner afterwards. We will be honeymooning there as well. When we get back to Cincinnati, OH, (the east side) we want to throw a reception for both of our families complete with a slideshow of pictures and possibly a video of the ceremony for the guests to see. Most of our family likes to drink. We want something affordable.

Option 1: Church Hall - affordable, able to do slideshow, could cater or have a buffet. No alcohol allowed.

Option 2: Park - could rent a pavillion, alcohol in coolers, deffinately affordable. No slideshow (i've not been able to come up with any ideas of how to execute it), and it would be a cookout (which is seriously informal) buffet.

I would like to be able to have dancing and music and great food. The slideshow and alcohol are improtant factors to consider though. Don't forget the affordability!
That's a big one!

What would you pick and why or any other suggestions???

If you are okay with an informal thing at the park, you could make a slideshow possible. It might have to end up being hooking up a laptop with a big screen, or a laptop to a TV even.... but it could sit on a table near cake/food, etc and be rolling the whole time the party is going. Just a thought!

Could do a combination of the two.  There are a couple of lodges in Mt Airy Forest that might work for you if you are on the west side.  Would have the ability to bring your own coolers, etc and be able to be inside for dancing and video and also have a picnic area.

You could always rent a projector and screen too. I second the park idea. Sounds fun!

There's the Southgate Community Center that might be something worth looking in to...
