How are you differentiating your groom tux from the rest of the party?

Hey all,

I'm looking for examples of how to differentiate your guy's tux from the rest of the groomsmen. Is the only difference in the boutinnere? I'm looking to rent for my fiance, the groomsmen, my future FIL and my 3 brothers since they're all walking down the ailse.

Thanks in advance for the suggestions/examples!

My first thought is the groom would have a white/ivory tie and/or vest to match you and the rest would have theirs in a color that matches or compliments the color your bridesmaids are wearing.

Color of the vests, vests vs. cumberbund (I'm sure I didn't spell that correctly), bow tiw vs regular tie or other options, etc.  There are many ways.  We haven't decided ourselves (I haven't gotten that far yet).

FI is wearing a different shirt than GM and will also have a different boutonniere. That's how he wanted it.

DH wore a white shirt with an ivory vest and white and ivory striped tie with a different style boutonniere.  Our Groomsmen wore white shirts with black and brown striped ties.

Typically the vest, tie, and flower.  You can do something more drastic and select a different tux all together (I've seen this), but I liked the more uniform look so we wore the same style jackets.

Vest vs Cumberbund look is outdated IMO, but it's your wedding, so whatever floats your boat!
