Has anyone been to a wedding or reception at either the OC Arboratum or Bella Verde? If so, what did you think of it? Can you post any pictures? Thanks.

    My shower was at the Arboratum. The room is pretty standard but the grounds were beautiful. The guests really ejoyed walking in the gardens. You have to bring in your own food, etc. Sorry, I still have no idea how to post pictures here.

    If you have the pictures on a website, you can just post the link. Also, when you write a response, there is a little icon at the bottom that looks like a tree that allows you to add a picture. Not sure if it has size restrictions or anything.

    My idea for the arboratum was a cemeremony in the raised flower bed area, or in the lawn with a tent if needed depending on weather. Also perhaps a tent on the lawn for a reception, or having the reception at Bella Verde - the restaurant associated with Stony Ford Golf right up the hill from there. No idea bout price points for any of this though, and cost is a factor.

    I do know it was $500 just to rent it. My seamstress had her wedding in a tent there.

    I was considering to have my wedding at the OC park.  The arboretum is beautiful and great for pictures. (Had my engagement photos taken there.)   My problem with it was that it is $500 for the day and you are responsible for the tents and chairs, etc.  If it rains and you have to move the service indoors, the building there only holds about 45 people total. 

    Bella Verde seems great.  The room holds 145 and has an amazing view.  I really wanted to have my wedding there, however we are inviting too many people for that venue. It is 50.00 for adults and 20.00 added on for an open bar.  The county also places a 2.00 head tax on each guest/vendor.  The caterers have a great selection of food and and the dinner is served buffet style.  The woman to speak with is named Rosalie.

    We are having our wedding & reception in September with Belle Verde. Roselie is AWSOME! She is so helpful and the venue is great for smaller wedding. We are only having 50/70 people coming. Food is awsome and definatly not your normal "catering hall" food. If you have a creative eye you can make it beautiful.

    My fiance and I attended a wedding at the Arboratum back in October. It was absolutely beautiful. They had the chairs set up in the circle and the bride and groom and officiant were in the middle so everybody had a good view. It was different, but in a good way. All the pictures they took there came out great.
