Work at home update. ::sigh::

If I want to work at home, I have to be an active employee by Sunday. 

So, this means that I'm going into the office Friday to be 'reactivated' and then taking vacation all next week for my last week of leave.   I have to go back to work over a week earlier than planned. 

I double and triple checked with my boss that she's the one hiring and I will get the position if I come back to work early.  She said that is the case.

I started panicking a little when I realized going back to work is 'real' and I don't get to spend all day cuddling my sweet behbeh.  I called my sister to see if she'd watch him on Friday for me and I started bawling. 

I don't feel ready, but I'd probably never feel ready. And luckily, I work with a bunch of great people who will totally understand when I'm crying at my desk and telling them everything is OK.  LOL

SO, the only thing that can fck this up now is if they pull the program at the last minute.  Wish me luck.

    Awh. You will be fine. It is tough leaving them, though.

    I really hope this works out. Working at home is such great flexibility.

    I hope it all works out!  Where will daycare be?  Had you already picked out a place close to home?

    He's going to in-home daycare with a woman DH went to school with.  She's awesome and we love her.  She lives 2 minutes from my house.    She'll be OK with taking him early.

    I promise it get's easier. I've been back for 3 weeks now and while I miss DD, it's nice to have some time away from her.  And just remember, DefConn will be super close by.

    And I just found out that Friday has to be a full day.  I can't take a half day like I wanted to.

    Bastards.  Our HR policy person is such a dragon lady.

    Sorry it didn't go exactly as planned.  Just remember, Friday is just one day and you have all of next week to prepare.

    So then will you officially start working from home the next Monday, the 23rd?

    I'll start working from home in June.  I'm going back so I can be considered for the position.  If I didn't go back, then I could not work from home when it starts.
