Beach Photos

Since our wedding is later in the evening and I want to be able to enjoy all of it, We are going to take day after Pictures.. I want to take some on the beach, but the beach is crazy here in the summer. Does anyone know of an area- preferably southern RI where I can find a semi remote spot that would be good for pictures? I'll have to go semi early- Hopefully I can beat the time that they all charge to park.. Especially since they are doubling it this year! being june 26th- i'm sure it'll be pretty busy as well.

Narragansett Beach is not very crowded at 7 am and I don't think they start charging until 8.  That might be an option just don't sleep LOL!

I think My FI would want to kill me... haha I'm going to have to come up with something else.... Maybe we'll do a little later and just pay... I'm thinking the Watch hill light house- I know We can get there without paying, but if I want some on the beach We'll just have to suck it up I think.. boo

We did a "first look" and many of our photos before the ceremony for the same reason. There's a private beach just beyond East Matunuck State Beach and I think if you went early enough, nobody would bother you; besides, the state constitution guarantees everyone access to the shoreline up to the mean high tide line. Are you wearing your wedding clothes? If so, you reallly won't get kicked off! Laughing

If you drive beyond the state beach entrance, stay on that road and you'll see a little sandy uphill entrance on your right  a few blocks down, in between two cottages. There's a street directly across from the beach entrance where you might be able to park. Can't remember the street name, as I haven't been down there in a while. I'd scope it out in advance, though.

Alternately, if the sneaking onto a private beach thing isn't for you, Salty Brine State Beach in Point Judith is a pretty quiet one at an earlyish hour.

There is Fogland beach in Tiverton, R.I. It is quiet and secluded local beach.

Newton Rock or Hazard Rock in Narragansett are just down the road from NArragansett Beach, it's not the beach, but it is the ocean and the beach in the background

also check out Camp Cronin...if you are on Rte. 108 and take a right at Iggy's heading toward the Pt. Judith lighthouse, there is a turn on the right before you get to the lighthouse which heads down a sandy/bump road and opens up to the water
